I sent my AoS packet via USPS on Friday Jan 18. I was told it would be delivered on Tuesday Jan 22. When I checked the tracking on the 22nd it said "will be delivered before 8pm on Jan 22." When I checked the tracking on the 23rd it changed to "will be delivered before 8pm on Jan 23rd." Now when I check the tracking it says "Your item arrived at the Post Office at 10:43 am on January 22, 2019 in CHICAGO, IL 60680" and it shows "In Transit" status. Anyone have any experience with this?

Thanks in advance!

I don't know if it's the same as it is in Australia, but Lock Boxes/PO Boxes there for big companies/government offices are actually just a holding facility and at the set duration that the owner has requested, all the collected parcels/packets are then moved along to the "real" address as a bulk lot.   I imagine thats what's going on.

Thanks. I hope that's the case. I'm just hoping to get the AoS process started asap. :)

Yes, the same happened to me. I sent my AOS package on Monday (Jan 14) and the USPS tracking still says that "the item arrived at the Post Office at 11:47 am on January 16, 2019 in CHICAGO, IL 60680." But I got an email and a text message from USCIS yesterday that they received and accepted my case.

Thank you for the response. This makes me feel better knowing that it will still get to USCIS. Thanks!
