Absolutely terrified of Administrative Processing

We hired a lawyer in the Boston area to help us with filing. We also have evidence of a wedding dress, wedding bands, and within a few months a wedding venue if we get the NOA2.

The only red flag we have is that I didn't get an affidavit of support from my family because they didn't like her that much and didn't want to help me because they just didn't approve of the marriage. Post filing, my situation has changed a bit and they've stopped outright rejecting my desire to marry her. From what I can tell this is apparently a death sentence when it comes to administrative processing in Egypt. She has no problem staying in Egypt for as long as necessary to get the Visa assuming she can find work. The only problem with that is we can't realistically live together unless we get married here because Egypt is incredibly conservative. If we decide to get married here we'd have to withdraw our application for the fiance visa and start the process all over again with the CR-1. 

I realize this fear may be incredibly premature but to be honest I am absolutely terrified and I'm genuinely losing sleep over this.

Has anyone every experienced a scenario like this before? 

Odds are if your career actually qualifies additional processing, you will face that in both fiance and CR-1, and I'm not talking from experience but I haven't heard it being an issue on K1s. Family situation mayyyyy be a flag in countries where certain customs are strictly adhered to (such as some MENA countries, etc.) but I feel you have a really strong case for that not to be an issue. Is there any age difference, religion difference etc?

 

Besides, if you filed in October, you're almost halfway there! You'll be getting your NOA2 in about a month or so. Don't sweat it and just make sure to present your case as best you can. AP people face sometimes for the smallest things and then sometimes it goes really fast. Don't stress yourself out for it just yet. Sometimes I've seen, AP is given for something preventable like needing a Co-Sponsor, providing tax returns, not having a particular document, etc so focus on your proofs and documents. Bonafide relationship seems to be pretty much in the bag with your back story as long as you've got your proof.

imo you have a solid case and as stated before you had this +++ point meeting face to face and not online  

i would suggest you to be honest about your family situation, or if they changed their mind about your relationship go to the interview with a letter stating their new feeling  if they stick to first impression ,well time can change them! did you have an engagement party ? yaani small celebration ? your family attended ? 

lot of cases are put under AP K1 Or CR1 visa! so just prepare your interview and question generally asked for K1 visa, be concise and honest, don"t go over with your answers, straight and precise!

Don't use your visitor Visa please while processing your application! be patient, do things as they ask and you'll be fine

Hi guys. I had interview 13th Jan and the CO asked me some questions and he had that yellow form ready even before I start the interview with him and had signed beside CO-Sponcer and after the interview he told me that I need co- sponser or your wife 2018 tax when you have it ready send it to me by Aramex. And he was going to keep my passport then he said you know what keep your passport with you tell you have everything ready and send it to me with the needed documents. so on 14th of FEB, I sent the needed documents and by Aramex and by end of the week  the embassy send me all the documents and my passport and asked me to scan the documents on the system. So I did. How long it could take them to review the documents? Also is it not good sign to give me the passport back which he was going to keep it but hechanged his mind because he doesn’t know how long it will take me to send him the needed documents?

The yellow form the CO gave me has no sign beside AP. When he sent me the passport back in the next time, is it bad?
