Divorce decree not excepted

I got an rfe for a divorce decree that was sent in the original packet. I’ve attached what was sent. Not sure what else they could want. Any ideas?

I’ve attached the letter. It’s asking for photocopy of legal termination of marriage.

Thanks. I saw that. What I understand is that there has to be an official request to get that. Not just an individual asking, but we’ll look into.

You  are good what they are asking for is Divorce Absolute - thats the fonal decree to any divorce in Nigeria. 

The statges is petition-divorce nisi- Divorce Absolute.

What u tender was a divorce  nisi so the CO the divorce has not been finalized

Thanks Amy. I think they just overlooked it. It says Certificate of Decree Absolute in the middle of the page. I think maybe because it lists the Nisi dates they thought it was the Nisi.

I see, ok send them the same document making a note about the area where the absolute is stating

In case anyone else has this problem. I sent back the same decree highlighted in yellow where it says absolute. They received on Friday. I was approved today.

 

I was so distraught when I got the rfe I misspelt accepted. 🤦🏾‍♀️

That person hasn't been on VJ since July of 2019. Use this link to find the answer to your question. Look for the tab for marriage certificates and Divorce. About halfway down the page.

Thanks greenbsum...am so confused I already have the divorce papers from customary court ...do I need to take that to the high court and get a absolute decree
