AP Extended Waits Explained

I found this information regarding extended AP wait times and thought it might be helpful to those going through it. It doesn't specifically say in regards to K1 visa issuing but I wouldn't be surprised. I'm sure this is one of the reasons it can take so long for some of us.(Not that my fiance and I are going through it but just the people I've read on here) https://archives.fbi.gov/archives/news/testimony/the-fbis-visa-name-check-process

Doesn't mean it's not being done. But you can do your own research,  I'm just trying to be helpful.

The process is well explained. I have read similar explanations before. There was a big bottleneck at FBI once upon a time that they did streamline a bit. The timelines are probably different now and of course the technology,  but the security check explanation still applies. I have posted recently in this forum a couple of times about it.
