VISA Interview

Hi All,

I am back & as usual very nervous...i guess would stay nervous till I know where I am standing

I got both packet 3 & 4, guess have all the documents in place but the only document I am having issues is with the Police Clearance Certificate as I might get or might not get the cerficate on time. If I do not have the certificate on time what are my options?

Also my fiance & me did not have a formal engagement ( it was just me & him ) so we dont have pictures of the engagement but have the pictures of me wearing the ring after the we got engaged. however we have out flight tickets & hotel bill where we stayed. Would those proof be enough for the engagement?

Lastly what all are the potential reasons for the rejection of the Visa if so what is my option & how can we get it approved?

I would be very greatful if you could help me, thanks! :help:

Have you sent the I129F yet??

Or do you have an interview date??

November 2004--I'm on vacation in Italy and met Gabriela at a pizzeria in Venice...it was love at first sight!

2 Weeks Later 2004--changed my intinerary to go back to Venice and see this Romanian girl that I couldn't stop thinking about.

August 30--My sweetie's Birthday! I love you, doll!!!

September 9, 2005--I-129F sent to NSC.

September 15, 2005--NOA1!

October 24, 2005--NOA2!!

November 07, 2005--NVC letter received!!!

Early December 2005--K1 packet gets to the Consulate in Naples but somehow they forgot about notifying us in any way, and apparently replying to emails is just waaaay too strenuous for them...

January 11, 2006--After numerous failed attempts to contact them, Naples Consulate emails packet3.

January 2006--I contact my state senator's office.

March 20, 2006--Gabi has her medical exam in Naples...

March 21, 2006--Gabi has her interview...K1 VISA ISSUED!!!!!

April 18, 2006--I will fly to Europe to get my honey...and never, ever let her go!!!

 they have received the packets from consulate.

udiken,

1. On reading other posts they will withhold the visa until you submit the police certificate.

2. You can only submit what you have. Do you have the engagement ring receipt perhaps or congratulatory cards or letters from family and friends.

3. Being ineligible for a visa.....these include but not limited to, criminal history, medical, the belief that the relationship is not bonafide, public charge issue.

Relax  Go over the list posted HERE by jasman0717 of possible questions you will be asked. At the interview if you dont know something just say so. Have everything in order that they require. Have as much evidence of a bonafide relationship that you can get together.

You will be fine.

Lorelle

You must actually have had an engagement? Some people marry without getting engaged. How would those people do?

Like Udiken, we just got the rings (no receipts ´cus my dad works with gold so he gave us the gold and I had the rings made) and did an informal family gathering on my b-day, I just have a pic of our hands wearing it and a couple of us that shows the ring either on my finger or his. I didn´t know they asked for those at the interview.

Every case is different, every consulate is different, every Conof conducting the interview is different. You gather the evidence you do have to prove the relationship and you have it on hand. The OP mentioned she had an engagement ring so I merely asked if she had a receipt. Many doing K-1 do not have rings yet.

Airwarrior, if your reminder was for me, Luis hasn't filed the K1 yet. :P

I agree that not forgetting the police certificate to be of utter importance, they might think you're trying to get away with not handing it in, and hiding some obscure background. :P
