Why are you quoting me? You should direct your post to the OP who asked the question.

Your reply is common knowledge for me.

Because I can quote you to highlight an answer without it being a response to you.

Medical Exam checked!

I did it with Dr Grillo. I went to the Trinidad de Palermo hospital (Sinclair street), we were about 5 people doing the same exam for the embassy.

You go to the secretary desk at the time you agreed with the doctor and then they make you go to another desk near by to pay for the blood test and x-ray $550 pesos

Then you go to a waiting room where you wait until the doctor calls you.

Once you are in the room with her, she will ask you for the passport photos, case number and your passport. She will give you the prescription for every test you have to take and you will pay her fee there $2000 pesos

You do all tests in the same hospital but the one that is around the corner (Cerviño street). Level -1 you do the line in laboratory and the secretary will tell you to go to another desk to pay the fee for the Tuberculosis test that is USD 175.

Once you are back with the receipt, the secretary will give you a container to collect your urine. There’s a bathroom in front of the desk, you collect it and then you give it back to the secretary.

Next, you go to a waiting room and without so much waiting a nurse will call you to take out the blood.

After that you go to the x-ray desk (is all in the same floor and is easy to know where everything is because there are signs everywhere) and you will wait until they call your name. For the test they make you take out every jewelry you have and in my case also my bra.

So blood test is done, urine is done, x-ray is done, you have to come back to the another building (Sinclair street) level 1, and if you have some vaccine missing you have to go to ‘vacunatorio’ that is on the right. You will pay whatever cost is for the vaccine you are missing and you will wait they call your name.

At this point it was 10am and I was there at 8. I waited outside Dr Grillo office and after 20 minutes she called me. She completed some information in the computer and then she took my blood pressure, listen my heart, measured my height and weight and tested my visual. After that she told to come back at 4pm for the results.

I went again at 4. The medical was approved. She gave me the closed envelope I have to take with me to the embassy.

Total time spent: 2hours in the morning and then picking the results 15minutes

Total cost: $10250 + vaccine cost (it depends every case, I paid 400 for influenza but the guy that followed to me had to pay 4000, I don’t know why)

Dra Grillo and the stuff are really nice.

P/S: Sorry for the long post. Just wanted to tell what to expect. And sorry if there are some typo mistakes, I’m writing through my phone.

Hi everyone!, you all getting ready for the last k1 steps?, sooner than later, you'll.be with your loved one 😊

Wanted to let you all know my experience at the port of entery in NY:

The officer was nice, asked me for my passport, and did biometrics of my four fingers on the right hand. Explaind I was there under a K1 visa, gave him the closed envelope, xray and medical paperwork dra grillo created with the vaccinations.

Asked me how we met, when we were going to get married and congratulated me.

Then he accompained me to another room, with other officers who created the I94 Form, and directed me how to download it from the cbp.gov website. Said you are wellcome! And that was it.

After that I could get my luggage and met my fiance. I believe It took 30min max.

They stamped my passport, added the date when my 90 days will expire, and treated my visa as "visitor". Don't remember who asked if the k1 visa needed greencard processing.

Hope this info helps  😊

Good, thanks for the info. About the USD 175, how did you pay it? in dollars or in pesos? and another question.... the influenza vaccine is it necessary to have it everytime of the year or it depends if it's summer or winter season?

You pay everything in pesos, so they make the exchange to whatever the rate is. Yesterday was 7700 pesos.

Here in Argentina they start giving the influenza vaccine around this time, but for the medical exam it doesn’t matter what season you are in. You have to have in order to have your medical exam approved.

The hospital accept debit/credit card. Except for the 2000 pesos fee foe the doctor that is in cash.

Escribi ayer a BuenosAires-IV@state.gov a ver que dicen.
