Whether it is a Resident Income Tax or an Income Tax for a U.S. Citizen, once the paperwork is completed, a signature is required to file the taxes with the IRS.  So, he may have downloaded the wrong thing.  I am a born U.S. Citizen, so I am not familiar with the Resident Income Tax Form, but I do work in the Accounting/Financial field and any filed taxes do have a signature in the finished packet, even when they are filed electronically.  The IRS cannot process and accept income tax returns without a signature acknowledgement from the individual or its representative (i.e. accountant).

thank you. he said he did online so migh be a electronic signature

Hey everyone wanted you to have something in mind with the visa pick up process.

Today I picked my passport and closed envelope at the Santa Fe Av facility, because I didn't choose to pick it up at dhl or to have it send to my home adress.

They treated me so bad, the woman was very rude to me because I was supposed to schedule an appointment, and that info was at the mail they sent me...well, I read it more than ones and didn't say anything about scheduling a pick up. So have this in mind. She complained about searching for my docs, called a supervisor who told her to give me the docs, create the appointment to have it in the sistem.

When she returned with all my papers, apologised for being roud, I believe she got confused I was a tourist instead of an immigrant.

So, better schedule your pick up at dhl or make them deliver it at your home or Office adress. My case is closed now, can't believe it is over!

Will keep you updated with the port of entry experience 😘

I'm so sorry tihs happened to you! At least all the paperwork is ready, now just have to pack!! :) :)

We already have the original documents that we sent now we miss only the work paper  the tax return all that stuff. But i was trying to schedule the interview there's no date available

Send an email to the embassy saying that you tried to schedule the interview and there were no spots available

I experienced the same when I scheduled mine. I sent them an email and they answered me the next day saying there were more spots available.

I scheduled it around March 20th and in the website the available dates were April 18th, 23th, 25th and 29th. I chose the 25th :)

A quick update,

I received an email from the embassy today saying that they received my Packet 3 through mail

So if you are not from Buenos Aires, highly recommended to send Packet 3 through DHL. It costed me 600 pesos and it was 2 kilos of paper

p/s: Everytime I think about all the papers we printed out I cry over trees and paper waste ughhhh

So I guess it's right to be rude to tourists but not to immigrants. Gotta love the backward mentality of our nation.

Great that you are mostly done with your part over there 😁

@Javier Mera it's even worst for me, because the employees at that facility are Argentinians, her boss seemed American and after being so disrespectful, she had to apologize.

I tried not to take it personal, maybe she was upset about perso al matters, donno. I was only thinking "please don't make me travel back home 2hs without my visa" hahaha!

@Fe.Ta the western union receipt is a red flag if your fiance works and you send big ammounts of money. That may look wired if the beneficiary has enough money to mantain him/herself or his/her family. If the beneficiary is unemployed western union transfers work as proof you can mantain the beneficiary and your relationship is bonafide, because you will not send money every month to a stranger.

Also if I'm not misstaken, read the k3 packet instructions,I think it mentiones money transfers as an example of proof of relationship.

@andreaam thanks to add that! A new peep mentioned it was not necessary and I was convinced it was a must to add NOA1 & NOA2.

Sorry for the missleading info 😯

Fernanda, I'm afraid that the reason why Western Union receipts can be a red flag is not based on the ability of one party or the other to be able to sustain a relationship. The US government does not care who is the breadwinner and the US Citizen will vouch at the time of the 864 for AOS that their spouse will not become a public charge, meaning that the immigrant will not use public tested benefits (i.e food stamps). Western Union receipts are a red flag for the simple fact that the government can perceive payment as part of a fraudulent transaction in which the beneficiary may have alternative motives.

I understand your concern, what I tried to say is that western union receipts work as a proof depending on each particular case, there are some cases that is better not to use this proof, mostly if you have other proof as plane tickets of meet in person, enough pictures, etc.

Also Western Union receipts are a kind of proof that depending on the beneficiary's nationality could be a bad or good idea. In the packet 3 instructions for Argentina, the western union receipts are mentioned as a good proof of relationship.

I didn't used the receipts I have, because he didn't send me money each month, so felt that wasn't good enough as a proof of a bonafide relationship, plus we have lots of other proofs. I have an Argentinian friend who is already living in Massachusetts, he used western union bills as proof of relationship because didn't have enough pictures and he was approved.

Just keep them, search for other kind of proof to use, if you have enough don't add western bills, if you do, make sure to explain why you sent the money, what did your fiance do with it, and sustain that with proof, dont add the western receipts without explaining why.

Send it ASAP, they tell you to send it at least 7 to 10 days prior the interview so they hve enough time to review your petition. So as soon as you have the packet3, send it. I finished it 7 days prior the interview and was ok. Good luck and keep us updated!

Ok, I have another question, since the P3 needs to be sent to the embassy prior the to the interview.  Once my fiance and I have the interview date, I will be buying my ticket so I can fly down there.  If I were to arrive 10-12 days prior to the interview with the P3 pre-ready (only missing his docs), do you think we will have enough time to drop it off (we are thinking to do it personally) before the interview?  Or would dropping it off in person would give me a bigger window of time (i.e. 3-5 days prior to the interview would be OK)?
