Can't believe it! Hahaha! We are not in NY yet and we already have an Argento team to hang out, it's lovely what visajourney does for us really. Hahaha! 😊

Tomorrow I'll pick my passport and paper packet with my medical exams at the CEAC facility, my fiance wanted to buy the ticket today, but better check if the visa has no errors, and the medical envelope has no scratches on it.

I think I'll be traveling on April 21, 22 so nice to skeep Buenos Aires winter! Wohooo! Can't wait to experience snow in winter and a snowy christmas! I'll feel like in the movie Home Alone 😂

Please post your interview experiences, I updated my timeline today, and added my whole interview experience for the newies here so you can have an idea how was it. 😉

I spent to Christmas adnd two winters in NYC and is an absolute dream. The one I spent with my fiancee family felt just like a movie haha. So different to the argentinian holidays.

It makes me happy that we don't even know eachother but we are planning to meet so far away from home!

Good for you that you have a date to leave :) you will start packing soon! I'm planning to leave by the end of May or beggining of June, it depends on when I can get my college degree. Anyway, once I have my visa on hand then I can start thinking ahead..

@Fernanda R Sanz How did you and your fiance obtain the certificate of no previous marriages?  I would like to include that in our packet.  Could you please let me know the agencies (both in Argentina and USA) that you contacted to get each of yours?

Thanks!

Hey guys I just had this answered from the Embassy. I had asked them about the actual documentation they care about in the Packet to send to the embassy for the 134. This was their reply. Hope it helps people not be so anxious about it. At the interview feel free to take all the proof you want, but in the packet they only care for what they ask in the P3 requirements.

Congrats to all!  So cool that you will be leaving so near, what are the odds!  Anyways, on average, do you know how long it takes for the NVC to get the information from USCIS for Argentina?  Also, the average it took for you guys from the NVC to the embassy?

Thanks!

Mine took over 2 weeks to receive the email from the embassy that they were ready for us. We had the the bad luck to have ours mailed over that 2 holiday weekend and before that there was another holiday so I think that's why it took so long. From USCIS to Argentina it shuold take no longer than 3-4 days. Embassy email should take 7-10 days after that.

Hello Peeps! Sorry for being away last week, Im working on my wedding dress while waitting the CEAC final approval. Wanted you to know today our case changed from "Administrative Processing" to "Issued" within 10 working days my visa will be finally issued in my passport.

For the newies at the group, I had my approval delayed 11 days since my interview because I didn't have my "acta de nacimiento", instead I had my birth certificate. Please don't make this silly mistake! Will keep on helping you as much as possible while Im getting ready to travel to NY, see you all in the US, helping eachother with AOS 😊

Thank you so much for being part of this journey ❤

Buenisimo! Congratss. We are sending the packet tomorrow, although our interview is not until the 29th of April.

Best of lucks with the next steps! Keep us posted!

@Javier Mera Was the interview date given to you by fault or were you able to pick from a selection, etc.?

That was the only date available that she saw when trying to book one. I think another user here booked for the same date. It worked for us also to be a bit late because her family wouldn't be able to travel until june-july.

@Lou&Don You should be receiving something like this from the embassy directly with instructions of what you need to gather for your next packet.  In the meantime, you should have all of the documentation needed for the Affidavit of Supports, the DS-160, etc.  If you read through previous posts, there is plenty of information about it. :)

Thanks!

Sure! I've gone to "Registro Nacional de las Personas" in La Plata city, Buenos Aires. Because I was born in the province not in Capital City, and my fiance lives in NY so he got the document at the NY Clerk's office. 😊

Cool, thanks!  So, my fiance should go to the city in which he was born to the "Registro Nacional de las Personas" and I can just go to where I live.  We'll do that, thanks!

Hey everyone wanted you to have something in mind with the visa pick up process.

Today I picked my passport and closed envelope at the Santa Fe Av facility, because I didn't choose to pick it up at dhl or to have it send to my home adress.

They treated me so bad, the woman was very rude to me because I was supposed to schedule an appointment, and that info was at the mail they sent me...well, I read it more than ones and didn't say anything about scheduling a pick up. So have this in mind. She complained about searching for my docs, called a supervisor who told her to give me the docs, create the appointment to have it in the sistem.

When she returned with all my papers, apologised for being roud, I believe she got confused I was a tourist instead of an immigrant.

So, better schedule your pick up at dhl or make them deliver it at your home or Office adress. My case is closed now, can't believe it is over!

Will keep you updated with the port of entry experience 😘

I am so sorry to hear that!  But I am glad this is all over for you!

Does the "Registro Nacional de las Personas" have any additional documents that we could ask from them to help our packet/case?
