Don't know really, Ive seen interview experiences in visajourney and facebook groups mentioning they asked the beneficiary if the petitioner kneel on one knee when proposed, So in my opinion, the more questions you are ready to answer, the better. Less hard or sorprise questions that make you feel nervous or the worst thing, not knowing what to say.

Don't underestimate the interview because your relationship is real, many real couples are deny because they fail explaining things.

This questions helps a lot to be confident and ready, if you prepair for the experience, it will br easy.

Of course I will! Hope to have good news to every one 😊, let's keep it up and never give up!

Yes I think the same. Although I feel confident because I know all the answer, reading them out loud a couple of times and make them familiar to me makes me feel better and less nervous

Hi everyone! Already back home, called my fiance to give him the news first, and wanted to have my time to give you proper feedback.

My interview appointment was 10am. I arrived 1 hour erlier because I live 2hs away, good thing is there's a caffe Havanna nearby where I waitted.

At 9:45 I arrived at the door, asked a woman where I had to announce myself for k1 visa interview. She directed me to a screen. Another woman behind the window gave me a green folder where you need to place the documents they ask for (the folder has a list on the front explaining what documents and in which order you need to present) also told me to do step 4 and 5 after security check, whithout doing the line, just announce myself.

Before getting into the embassy, a guard asked me if I had any of the prohibited objects: you can't enter food, phones, headphones smartwatches, no technology at all, makep up, creams, medications, sharp objects like nail cutters) said no and let me in.

Once inside passed the security check, did no problem (suggestion for girls: use no bra or any sport top like I did, so the "detector de metales" don't activate with the metal "aro" some bras have inside. I've seen this issue today, and also a guy was delayed because he had headphones and a pen. Just go with the papers.

After that, I had my biometrics done, the girl was very nice to me, she asked me with a smile If I was ready to marry, and I smiled back while saying yes, then I got into a different building, announced myself and let me in. There was a big line of people waitting for the tourist visa interview, all the immigrant visa applicants were waitting on the left hand side of the building. I sat with 2 more couples.

They called me and asked for the green folder with the documents required and also returned me all the I129F and packet 3 proof. The consul mentioned it was not the actual interview, they were going to review the papers first. I got worried when the consul asked me for the "Acta de nacimiento", I only had my birth certificate. She said it's ussless the birth certificate for the American law, the Acta is the only thing that works for them, she said the consul was going to explain at the interview what I needed to do to get my acta de nacimiento.

After that It was 10:30, I waited an hour and the consul called me for the interview at 11:30. He was nice, serious and professional. He made me swear all documents and statements I presented and was going to say were true, after that his questions were:

How we met?

How old are you?

How old is your fiance?

Have you ever travelled to the States?

Is your fiance a permanent residence?  sayed no; He was born in the states, so asked me for my fiance's original birth certificate, and if I didn't have it the copy. I showed him the original birth certificate, and that was the only document he asked for, he really examinate it.

In the emd, he explained all the paperwork and interview was fine, but could not approve my visa until I send them my "acta the nacimiento", and try to do it ASAP.

Finally asked me if I was going to travel overseas to give me my passport back, said no, so they kept it.

I am half happy, half worried and a little angry with myself because I have an "acta de nacimiento" legalized in 2016, I left at home, I should' ve brought it 😫😣. Tomorrow I will send the document personally and after they review it, they will tell us if we are approved or not.

Do you guys know if the "acta de nacimiento" has an expiration date? If I send the one I have from 2016 will work?

Sorry for this long post, but wanted to be very detailed, hope this helps you guys.

Good luck to every one! Will keep you updated on this and see you in this group for the Adjustment of Status!! 😊

@Fernanda R Sanz I'm so sorry this happend to you!! At least is something that has a easy solution! everything will be over soon!

Here is what the municipality of the town I was born told me about acta y certificado is  going to be in spanish so I explain myself better

Partida y Acta son sinónimos, es una copia fiel de los libros donde se inscribió nacimiento. Mientras que el Certificado, es un papel que se da en el momento del nacimiento que hace referencia a los datos del libro, pero no tiene valor legal

Keep us updated!! Keep the joy up!

When I got this acta the judge who signed it said actas de nacimiento don't expire, if not I have to get a new one tomorrow, and send it the day after that. Will call the embassy tomorrow to check if I can send the one I already have.

Yes I know.if I send this paper I'm approved, but it's a wired feeling not to hear: "congratulations your visa is approved"

I'm checking my acta. Is the one my parents got in my town municipality when I was born. It has a lot of stamps on it. I don't know if that will work or I have to get one that has an expiration date. I don't understand that

Me neither, I would like to be sure the acta does not expire, I will check at the registro nacional the las personas in my town, and call the embassy before sending the one I already have, and will let you know so if needed to get a new one

Here is mine. I erased some personal information just in case. In red are marked the stamps. In the squared one in the center it says 'el presente documento es copia fiel de original que se encuentra en archivo de esta repartición Acta N° XXXXXX Año xxxxx

So, according to this 'Partida y Acta son sinónimos, es una copia fiel de los libros donde se inscribió nacimiento' I think I'm fine... I think haha
