Medical Appointment Hotel

Hey everyone,

Every post I make lately appears to have medical in the subject!

Not a question regarding the process. I'm just wondering where people stayed prior to their medical interview?

I know the appointment states Bond Street as the closest so I'm thinking just somewhere close-ish to a tube station and leaving my car at the hotel overnight.

It’s a pricey part of London where the medical takes place. There is a Holiday Inn around the corner but since the tube is so convenient I would stay somewhere cheaper than Mayfair and take a bus or tube to get there.

You also don’t want to take your car within the congestion zone area or the whole thing becomes even more expensive.

Timeline in brief:

Married: September 27, 2014

I-130 filed: February 5, 2016

Oh good reminder! I'd completely forgot about the congestion zone, lugging an aging diesel through London is never recommended, thank you.

Are you coming to London from far away? I got an afternoon appointment and just went there and back in a day. But I only had to travel from Dorset.

For the the interview I stayed in a hotel the night before.

Yeah I'm from Hull so it's a good 3-4 Hour drive and HullTrains to London at the moment are notoriously running poorly due to maintenance (which seems to be going on forever!), so I think I'll drive somewhere and stay over and get the train/tube in. I don't fancy driving that long after an early start, piling the caffeine in and then having my BP taken, it'll be high enough as it is!

For the interview we're hoping to do when my fiancée arrives (late March) so we'll be staying in London anyways in a hotel so we can just uber across to it

I stayed at a place on Gloucester Pl. in London similar to this one in the same general area.

It's 0.4 mile from medical clinic

Mine was called Lincoln House and has been closed for a couple of years now. It was cheap with a tiny room,  but had everything. I rang them up and got a further discount for paying cash. They kept my luggage for me until I was ready to catch the coach home, even though I had checked out. A lot of coaches stop on Gloucester Pl or Baker St.

Another cheap one https://www.bostoncourthotel.co.uk/
