This has always been my thought. Quotes ideas ok. Complete arrangements are a risk. Even if they approve it CAN take up to 10 business days to receive the visa.

Thanks guys. The officer has already seen our wedding plan as well as our air tickets to Hawaii and the Officiants letter. So, we are just hoping some miracle happens tomorrow and she is issued the visa by Friday. So, that she can fly out on Saturday morning.

My honest opinion is no but best of luck to you. It took the embassy 3 days to approve our 221g docs. Then 2 days for them to ask for the passport. Then it took a few days to go to non immigrant and then to issued. Then it can take from there about 5-10 business days to have visa in hand. Consuls don't go based off what wedding plans you created. Again I'm just giving you the honest truth.

Nope, really thank you. i think it will not be possible. Unless they take her passport tomorrow and consider this as a very urgent matter and I know they have so much of work to do and so many other contestants. I am thinking to cancel her ticket by next wednesday and rebook it. I think our plans will be screwed up, but we will see how it goes.

Yeah best be prepared just incase. Either way, you're almost at the end and I'm almost for sure you'll be approved. I bet your wedding is sure to be gorgeous!!

I got notification my visa has been issued!

Hi,

Do they give other documents also back with you and the medical and any sealed documents? What will the CBP officer at the port of entry ask a K1 visa holder to submit? Did you get back any sealed documents?

They took her passport yesterday. She handed over all the documents and passport. As, they are aware that her flight is on the 2nd and our marriage is on the 11th. We are hoping that the visa is stamped and we receive the passport on Thursday. My question is what is that she needed to carry when she if flying. Will they give back any documents and sealed documents to hand it over to the CBP officer at the port of entry?

Well, we were asked for more photos and also my air ticket that I travelled to India. I have provided that and also, all my W2s, 1040s, my purchases, my UBER receipts in India when I travelled around and my finances here, MY marriage officiate confirmation letter, my fiances air ticket to US which I had already booked, and our marriage license info etc... Not sure what else I can provide. But,  they have taken her passport. We are just hoping as her flight is on Saturday.

Congrats! Our case shows again READY in CEAC website. We submitted the document yesterday at NVC, today I think they submitted it and it was updated today 26th. Status shows READY. But will she be getting her VISA stamped and back to NVC today?

@Emily2015, once the visa is stamped they send the passport with packet to the beneficiary. Nothing goes back to NVC if approved

That is only for Premium Processing. We told them we will collect it as we could not wait for 3 days or 2 days for courier. But what does it mean READY after we submitted all the documents and papers today. That means they will be stamping her VISA?

You have to bring your Medical CD also along with donot open documents to be handover at CBP point.
