221 G after K1 Interview in Mumbai

I went to track his passport this morning and it's not coming up in the system. I've tried it 5 times and nothing! I logged in and there nothing in the cite with Document Delivery Information.

It originally said "with Embassy" now it says There is no status update available for the passport number submitted.

I'm freaking out has anyone seen that before???

Tara I remember reading similar situation in some thread & then getting visa issued soon after that. So hopefully that’s your case too

We can only hope, right? I literally called yesterday and nothing was said about the passport not being there

This happened with me in feb 2019. this means nothing.when embassy doesn't update the records on passport the status shows this.i am sure on eac it should show document delivery number also as blank. i think you are just killing your self for no reason.its not 60 days.if they have asked for your passport you will get the visa. once  on eac it shows non immigrant and dates have changed, visa isn't ready to be issued. so i will suggest you to keep yourself busy.when i was in your situation.we went for movies bowling nice dinner or just play sports.key is to see non immigrant on eac

I was hoping that it wouldn't take the full 60 days. I have to keep track of everything that happens! So when I see that something is different I can seek guidance and support.

@An&Ak, I only gave a list of 4-5 people with their address & phone #..

Just get everything that’s asked on the list as when u go to submit they ask based on that list

As a K1, when checking your case online at CEAC.state.gov you have to select "immigrant visa" as it is treated as such even though it is a "non-immigrant visa".  Technically the K-1 is a non-immigrant visa with intent to immigrate, but it is treated like an immigrant visa because of the AOS. It is kind of a ba$tard. Non-immigrant case treated like an immigrant case. The K-1 on its own is a single entry, with a short time limited visa that expires within 90 days after POE. That is why it is a non-immigrant visa treated like an immigrant visa.

I wonder why my status hasn't changed from Administrative Processing to Ready? Shouldn't it have changed to Ready after we dropped our evidence?

But this was dropped two weeks ago and it was "proof of relationship" evidence. What I gave them should have done the trick

Two weeks isn't much when it related to embassies (or visas/immigration). 

 

Mumbai is India's only consular Post that handles ALL of India's immigration visa paperwork. They deal both with the ever expanding volume of current applications, on top of previous ones pending for whatever reason, such as 221Gs. It takes time for the evidence to make it from the drop-off location to the CO that has your file, to review the evidence for criteria, a Supervisor to sign off on an approval, and on from there.
