221 G after K1 Interview in Mumbai

On the interview they just asked pics what I show them but on the 221g they asked  list of evidence n thank go my wife was with me on interview n in 2 days we collected everything n submitted

Then all that's left is to wait. Keep checking your ceac status. And your passport tracker too. They both should change. For us it went from AP to Non immigrant to issued. Then the passport tracker changed from passport is with embassy to preparing for shipping to ready for pick up. Stay positive and best wishes bhai!

They just took my documents they didn't take my passport yet they were saying they 'll email me for passport n I m still waiting

Same with us. We submitted our documents on Jan 25th and they approved on Jan 29th and requested our passport on Feb 2nd.

Re: I-134/I-864

There's 3 major requirements for the I-864:

 

1) Sufficient income/assets. Note that meeting the minimum income levels does not ensure approval. Under the minimums = cannot approve. Above the minimum = judgemental call by the CO based on the totality of the circumstances. India is known to be very strict in this area. There was 1 case last year where $200,000 annual income was not deemed sufficient (because of other factors like previously sponsored people, very high cost of living area, out of pocket expenses for healthcare for parents sponsored, etc.). This isn't to scare anybody...being denied with that income level is very uncommon. But one needs to use a bit of practicality if somebody can reasonable live in the US with the amount of income claimed + their own expenses.

 

2) At least the most recent year's tax return copy (tax transcripts are simplest). The other 2 years are not strictly required but it's not uncommon (at least with the I-864) for COs from India to want to see all 3 years. Most countries don't review all 3 years so closely.

 

3) Sufficient evidence of the income being claimed. For an employee, this is via pay stubs and an employment letter.

There's also a number of cases on VJ where rapidvisa really screwed people over hard. A few of the had to start the process entirely over after waiting over a year because of very bad advice.

That doesn't necessarily mean don't use them...but always do your own research as you are the one responsible for everything submitted.

Sorry I'm "late for the party" 🙄 My fiance had his interview on March 7th and was given 221g just like @ujones.

They requested "Proof of Relationship" evidence. I have notarized a letter (as per instructions) and will be mailing everything tonight via FedEx.

Once everything is taken to a drop off location will they notify us through email or will I need to constantly check https://ceac.state.gov/?

I don't want to miss a single notice!

And will the visa still be available for pick up verses courier?

Hi, I am back here ...and with status AP... Had my interview on March 11and co handed me a 22g white form instruction said to submit some documents to ceac website and then drop my passport and the document at the drop off location... The documents had list of different documents but the co ticked only one document and said this is missing and submit this...I had them ready over the mail and took print out the same day n submitted them along with passport  at drop box....so what next ??

She is still in India. Yet to arrive as she did not get the passport until the 8th. So, we had to postpone it. It was today the 11th. So, we are postponing it for April.
