Hello Everyone,

I am US Citizen and I filed I -130 for my spouse in Late october 2018 & its routed to Nebraska service center. As I am observing the timelines of NSC, they are NOT moving at all and still stuck in March and April. It seems it will take at least more than 15 months from Start to Finish and thats Minimum; it can even take longer. So I am thinking of quitting my job and moving to her country to stay with her while petition is pending.

I am planning to put mailing address in my friends house in US while I am abroad and for  affdative of Support I am worried when it will come to NVC.

I have my cash assests in my bank and some money in stocks and 401k.

$80,000- Cash

$ 110,000- Stocks

$40,000- in 401K.

Will my cash and investment assets will work tosponsor for my spouse when I have no job. What are things I need to be proactive on and the risk that I can have while I am staying in my spouse country while petition is pending. Please suggest..

Thank You in advance.

Didn't you know the timeframe for a CR1 is 12-14 months when you filed?
