Where has everyone been getting their US style passport pics done, and were they easily accepted at your medical and interview?

Just curious, since I figured I should start looking into getting mine done once I arrive again in Canada on the 27th, and I don't want to have trouble at the interview like some have had for having bad pics done. I'm pretty sure Walmart and London Drugs does them, but does anyone know how they are quality wise?

My wife and I went to a Walmart in Canada to get hers done, and we had absolutely no problems and the woman was extremely nice and knew what was needed, so I'd try there. Good luck!

I had to go to a professional photographer to get mine done, since everyone else in our town (ie. walmart-esque photo studios) were unwilling to adjust their cameras/setup to accommodate US-style passport photos. Down-side, they were a bit more expensive. Up-side, no problems at the consulate.

London Drugs does decent passport photos - that's where I'm getting mine done, but I make sure to go when they're not swamped with crowds. I used to work there (but not in that department!) and when they were busy, it'd be really hit and miss.

I didn't have any issues with the photos when I sent them in with my original application, though I was really obsessive about getting them perfect.

Got mine done at London Drugs and the doctor's office accepted it no problem. Just ask the clerk to cut them at 2" by 2" - print out one of the specifications pages from any Embassy (I think London's explanation is the best) and take it with you.

Won't be a hassle.

Ok cool, sounds like my options certainly aren't limited. I will most likely try London Drugs first, (but will call ahead and make sure they don't mind changing their camera lenses to do a US photo.) If not, I'll try all the other places you guys listed

LD has a digital-style passport camera, so all they need to do is change the sizing in their camera settings so that it prints out properly in 2x2 format.

I went to Japan Camera They knew exactly what I needed in picture size and appearance

I did mine myself:

-Put the digital camera on a chair on a table, stood in front of a white wall, hit the timer;

-Cropped & sized them in Photoshop; and

-Printed them onto Canon photo paper using a colour printer.

No problems, almost free.

I had some of mine done at a "copy" place in Canada (their sign outside said they did passport photos) and the rest I had done at Costco in the U.S.

Oh wow, you're the first person I've heard of who has ever done a passable passport pic by themself lol. Really though, that takes skill. They are so picky about the requirements with the photos that I didn't think it was even feasible for someone to do the picture themselves at home.

I am pretty much camera handy-capped, so in my case I think I will play it safe and head to LD or Walmart hehe.

I had mine done at Walmart. The girl asked what it was for, and knew exactly what I needed. Fast and cheap.
