So it’s better to obtain police clearance before going home to Ph ?😀

It would be,  but if someone didn't. The consular will waive the requirement for the police certificate due to unavailability

YMMV

Is Qatar on an open city?

Doha is the capital and the largest city in Qatar. It is open for the most part where you can go to a bar/club and order some very expensive alcohol, chat with some ladies. You just better not get drunk or start some trouble because they will come down hard on you as a Expat. A deposit for a regular liquor license in order to buy alcohol at the ONLY liquor store in the country is $200usd.

Gotcha

I have no desire to go to a Middle Eastern Country, but we had a relative who was flight attendant for Cebu Pac who just resigned and went to work for Qatar airlines, so she is living there, I was wondering how it was there.

Just when you think you have TDS eradicate,  a new case shows up.

They are supposedly going to open up a route to Davao within the year supposedly. I have seen a lot of talk about it but no real firm commitment about doing it. Which would be good because we plan on moving back to the MENA region hopefully this year for work. So if we move to Kuwait we can hop on the plane to Doha and then on to Davao City without ever having to go to Manila.

Thank you for the info.😊 your friend cannot get pulis clearance because she went AWOL? Or because she is no longer in KSA when she request for PC?

Hi.. Both because she’s not cleared with our company and getting a police clearance needs to be personal appearance because you have to stamp all of your fingerprints in the PC.. and it will take like 1-2 weeks to get it because they’ll still do a background check

She is saying that KSA is withholding the PCC which @lovemeow your friend should be able to process the K1. Do you know for sure about that are you just speculating about this, have they actual went to the interview yet?

There are some special cases in our company that they could arrange your PC even if you’re not in The country anymore (though it’s a longer process) as long as you resigned in a right way or Cleared from them... the policy in acquiring a PC is you have to have an endorsement or request letter from your company to show the police station...

my colleague’s situation was she went AWOL, and left a bank loan (newly loaned then left)... so the company won’t clear her and help her arrange a PC.

My asawa was lucky in that regard because her former employer was able to get her PCC from Qatar after she left and moved back to the Philippines.
