I visited the USCIS website and instead of October, it is now November 12, 2006 for I-130s.

It probably doesn't mean anything, but for me, it's SOME kind of change lol, so I'll take it. :)

Now all they have to do is start approving these NOA2s that so many of us still do not have! :crying:

2/13/07 ~ NOA1

5/31/07 ~ NOA2 Approval!

NVC: (Did not use James' shortcuts except for hubby sending DS-230 to me ahead of time!)

6/15/07 ~ Petition rec'vd by NVC

6/18/07 ~ Case # assigned

7/02/07 ~ DS3032/AOS bill generated

7/03/07 ~ COA email sent

It just means a few or even just one poor sap who filed in October finally got their petitions adjudicated. Now the oldest one the service center is aware of was received November 12. Unless those dates are near you NOA1 date, they mean nothing to you. If they are, your petition has a problem or you've received an RFE and are aware of the problem.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...

It just means a few or even just one poor sap who filed in October finally got their petitions adjudicated. Now the oldest one the service center is aware of was received November 12. Unless those dates are near you NOA1 date, they mean nothing to you. If they are, your petition has a problem or you've received an RFE and are aware of the problem.

I partially dissagree, since these dates tell at least two usefull things. First, by comparing the previous month and current month, you can see if that current service center is lagging or not. If the dates move less than a month each month, you can assume that they are having some problems. The VSC has been standing still for months for example. And secondly you can assume that the last date shown is the tail of a standard deviation, i.e. the date shown demonstrates the slowest one percentage in a standard deviation, and by using that information you can find out where about the mean approval date is currently going. So, that information has still some sort of use, albite it's rahter little.
