The $265 fee is for the DS-160. You associate the DS-160 by entering the confirmation number from the form to the account. What you paid for is not the interview, but the Visa application (DS-160). Since you can't schedule an interview before that is paid the people just assumed that it's for the interview.

I hear your pain about the long wait. My recommendation is email the embassy to see if they can make exceptions and get you in sooner. The other thing you can do is have your fiance get their medical done. I think they are good for 6 months, but don't quote me on this. Verify it with the embassy and keep checking there website for a date earlier than what you are schedule for. I've done this several times, and have found out that people cancel there appointments and things do open up. You will need to check it on a daily base.

The signature is an electronic sign so you are fine with it if she gives you the authorization to accept it. I've not had anyone complained on VJ nor has anyone from NVC or Embassy call this out. Majority of these visa applications are usually filled out by the Petitioner since the beneficiary usually doesn't speak nor understand English.

Can you give us the link to check interview openings?

What I need to know is, can we complete the ds160 and schedule the medical and interview before the us embassy received the documents from nvc? Also, does the required documentation from the beneficiary have to be submit first or just brought to the interview?

Once you complete the ds-160, and pay for it then you can schedule your interview. You don't have to wait for the Embassy unless you like waiting around. There current available appointment times are out till May now. Your case info will get there before you even go to the interview. All the required documentation should be brought to the interview. The only paperwork that you can submit ahead of the interview is the ds-160. Your medical check up is only good for 6 months so plan your check up a couple of months ahead of your interview.

Alright, so just fill out the DS160 and pay the fee to schedule the medical and interview now. Don't wait for Laos Us Embassy to receive the paper from NVC.

Other then the documents needed at the time of interview, there is nothing else needed to be summited to the embassy prior to interview date correct?
