hey TM the new formating is beautiful-and I feel so special that you tried it out on me.

We never had any problems crossing the border-well actually I (the USC) nearly always had to chat with Canadian immigration when I was crossing. But the hubby is always just waived through. Apparently I appear to be the less trustworth one. The only time that the hubby had to talk to USCIS when crossing the border was when he flew down in 2003 for us to get married. He had no proof of ties to Canada, other than the return ticket, and they still let him through. I wouldn't recommend that course of action, but as long as you have something to show that you are just visiting-lease, letter from your employer stating how long you're on vacation, etc.- you should be fine. That silly border didn't keep you from meeting each other, it shouldn't keep you from visiting either.

C & C I'm in Toronto as well. The medical is good for a year and like some has said it is too risky to waite for the letter. When I called Dr. Seidens to make an an appointment all the require is NVC letter with my NAME & CASE # on it. So I have sheduled an appointment for next week just in case i get my letter 3 days before the interview.

So sad, yet funny, yet sad. This is the automaton response from Montreal "Operator 5" on the topic of "Can we please get the panel physicians names to get the physical done and please tell us what documents we will need for the interview because we might only have a few days?"

Thank you for your email. Your appointment letter will provide you with the information needed for the interview. The panel physicians will not perform the exam unless they are provided with the appointment letter showing your name, accompanying family members if applicable, date and time of the interview. Regards

Right, like they know. Hubby just made an appointment with the good Dr. in TO. Thanks for the tip!

Just wrote a letter to the US senator for Texas who is the ranking Republican on the Senate Judiciary subcommittee for immigration et al., complaining of the apparent stall in interview scheduling in Montreal since early April.

Please, one of y'all with the file complete dates in april, tell us you have an interview for October!!

Glady, could you please let us know how the exam goes when you get back from Dr. Seidens? I am also in Toronto area. I guess i will do mine early next year too.....

I read that people better get a record of immunization before the exam, is that true? if so, what immunization should I obtain beforehand? Do you get yours too?

Just go to your family doctor and ask them to fill out an immunization card for all the vaccines you've had.

I am not originally from Canada so I don't have the immunization card. However, there are options for blood test as a proof of the immunization of TD,MMR. I think I will have to have blood test before I go for the exam.

Just go to your family doctor and ask them to fill our an immunization card for all the vaccines you've had.

There are quite a few reviews on the boards of people who have had medicals with Dr. Seiden recently. Liz comes to mind. The panel physician with redo all blood tests and chest x-rays but he may choose to waive some vaccinations. Get your physician to give you the shots since they are covered by OHIP. Glady, we can never have enough panel physician reviews! Let us know what happens.

Technically I was due for something according to the chart of needed vaccinations on Seiden's website.. but I did get the vaccination years ago, just not recently..

So, my doctor took some blood and analyzed it, and when the results came back that I was still immune, mailed a copy of the lab's findings to me so that I could take it to my medical with Seiden

I'm not originally from Canada either..

Only moved here at age 12 or so.. all you need is to take your immunization papers that you have from whereever to your doctor and she fills everything you've had (elsewhere and in canada) on the little yellow immunization card in like 5 mins.

It's also helpful to print out the list from seiden's website to take to your doctor so they know what seiden is specifically looking for.

I did that.
