Hmm... so strange that Karina (but I'm still very very happy for you!!!:) got an interview when she was completed on June 1st, but some of the others who were completed back in April/May haven't been scheduled yet.

Maybe they use the USCIS priority date (date of the NOA 1)? Has anyone looked to see if there's some sort of consistency there?

Since we sort of lost the chart in the MTL Timeline to Interview discussion, I thought, if anyone's interested, we could track those waiting for CR1 interviews here? Any takers? I was going for dates when things are generated as opposed to when we send them in since I'm always so impatient for the next step!

I hate being so selfish, but that's the nature of being on this board (me next, me next, me next).

What do ya'll think. Since the K interviews are going so well, maybe we'll move along too? They're moving the end-of-March people, and a lucky April person too!

We have really no idea what date NVC is scheduled up to so far. The last interviews we saw here were IR-1s (April and June), which are apparently in a different line than CR-1s, since I was case complete on April 16.

Is there nobody here for a CR1 that had their case complete in March? Or February?

I know I shouldn't try to figure out NVC, but I can't help it. I get so depressed hearing the old NO-YOU-HAVEN'T-BEEN-SCHEDULED-YET speech every month from the robot operators. I am sick of giving myself pep talks and trying to be optimistic.

So anyways. NVC schedules "2nd and 3rd" week of the month. I guess that means full weeks because MTL is doing scheduling at the moment. I have to wait until the 24th to call? Talk about torture.

<insert very many expletives here>

I thought it was around the 15th of every month that they schedule. They seemed to be all finished scheduling for August around the 17th of July, so I don't think it takes longer than a couple days really.

Keep your chin up, Karina had her case completed in June, and was scheduled in last month, so I'm sure you will be hearing some good news this month!

I did compare the USCIS priority dates, and also looked at whether they could be scheduling IR1's faster than CR1's, but neither seems to make sense. It all seems completely random, to be honest. I don't think it is done by a computer, since it definetely isn't happening in chronological order.

Here I go racking my brain again lol. Time to go distract myself before I go crazy trying to figure out whether to allow myself hope for a September interview *sigh*

ok back from Montreal. the interview was ridicoulously easy. which just makes me more annoyed that we had to go do an interview. it was so superficial that if we were married just for immigration we could have easily faked our way through it. Oh well, done now. the hubby is driving me across the border today so I can get to our other car and go back to school. I'll report on the adventure of crossing the border without a passport/visa after the interview.

met summer 1999, summer 2000 hooked up-whoo hoo summer fling

summer fling failed to fizzle, married 2003

I-130 mailed 12/15/03

4/1/04 no word from NE contacted senators office, app found

NOA1 4/13/04

Gave up on ridiculously long US process-started Canadian

12/4/04 submitted app

LSS app returned because of missed signatures, lost in transit, resubmitted in June

9/28/05 landed, yippie

10/4/05 fly back to US to "finish up Master's" lose mind and switch to PhD

Damn it back to the US process

3/something/2005 finally get NOA2, no idea why it took so long

4/15/07 get case approval from NVC

8/9/07 Montreal here we come

10/14/07 hubby activated his visa

I will most surely feel like you do!!! But your done, We all still wait. I do have a little news to share. My Congress person's rep. Went to an Immigration conference a few weeks back. There were reps there from the NVC. They DO realize there is a backlog in Montreal. Also they are taking steps to fast track cases. So lets all just hope!!! Right now my attitude is that I'm from Missouri.....and you will have to "Show Me"

I know what you mean about the interview. It felt more of a formality to get done than an actual interview, and the interviewer was extremly friendly, unlike the folks we encounter and get interrogated by at the border crossing :)
