damn it, I've been trying to talk to someone at NVC all day and keep getting the call back later message. kaftar or karin have either of you gotten through? I figure we should be getting our interviews at about the same time

Gave up on ridiculously long US process-started Canadian

12/4/04 submitted app

LSS app returned because of missed signatures, lost in transit, resubmitted in June

9/28/05 landed, yippie

10/4/05 fly back to US to "finish up Master's" lose mind and switch to PhD

Damn it back to the US process

3/something/2005 finally get NOA2, no idea why it took so long

4/15/07 get case approval from NVC

8/9/07 Montreal here we come

10/14/07 hubby activated his visa

finally got through. no interview, but they aren't done with the scheduling yet.

I called this morning, and they said they are not done scheduling yet. Since my case was completed in June 1st, I probably have to wait till Aug or something... All the best! :) --K

Ya, I talked to them this afternoon too, same BS: " not done for July, we are behind, call back Thursday or Friday".

Sep 21 2006 I -130 approved, notified via email, never received anything in the mail

Oct 4 2006 docs where returned to USCIS by post office as undeliverable, notified via emailed

Oct 4 2006 called USCIS, was told to send in I-824

Oct 5 2006 sent in I-824

Oct 4 2006 NVC received docs, assigned Case Number

Oct 24 2006 Received Choice of agent and AOS fee bill

Oct 26 2006 Emailed Choice of Agent

We had a long delay in getting our DS-230 packet together because it took over two months to get a police certificate from Japan. >_<

We also filed an I-129F back in September of last year, but it was denied in error thanks to the sheer idiocy of the incompetents "working" at the CIS California Service Center. It's since been reopened (thank you, congressman), but has not yet been approved. We're now just hoping/praying/begging for an appointment in Montreal, but whether that will actually happen in our lifetimes remains to be seen.

Just talked to NVC. Interviews for July have been scheduled. But we didn't get one. Has MTL completely stopped doing IR1 interviews? almost 3 months since case completed and still no interview even scheduled.

hey, just talked to nvc too a couple of minutes ago, they told me that they are not done with scheduling for july and told me to call back on Monday.

Isn't that weird? How can they tell Thermophile that July has been scheduled and tell someone else something different! very strangeee

humm. that is weird. I specifically asked if the scheduling was done. then asked why it was taking so long and if she had any idea when it might be scheduled. no and no

this is just making me more pissed that the US actually makes all of us get interviews. Canada waived my PR interview because there was nothing in our file that suggested that it might be fraudlent. what a waste of our and the embassy's time to go all the way to Montreal for a 5-10 minute interview. bs all of it
