This list is so slow we could just keep track with pen and paper - but i'm hoping the fairy dust is working!

FYI

I received a reply today from the first US Senator I wrote to initially on September 15th, just 20 days ago, I think that's not a bad response time. I since copied him on the letter I wrote all the people who are in charge of our lives right now. All Sen. Cornyn's letter said was that he had contacted officials at Department of State to request a response to my concerns, and that he would let me know the result. It made me feel better.

Today's new young NVC thing on the phone today told me to call next week about November. Dare I hope?

I'm thrilled to see hubby visiting this weekend for Canadian thanksgiving, and no with the valuable time I 'm not making turkey -- besides it's too hot in Texas to cook a bird in the oven for hours and -- I'm not even sure my apartment oven works, or that I want to see... want to keep the temporary feeling of this apartment life.

Do you think Montreal Consulate folks get both US and Canadian civic holidays off?

Indeed they are closed all U.S. and Canadian statutory holidays :thumbs:

They're open on the holidays, between the hours of 1:35 AM and 1:41 AM but are closed every other day.

Hi Comely

you can take me off the list; as I was posting few weeks ago I got my visa going through my native country Romania. We requested a change of processing center and were waiting for an answer in 6 weeks but we got one in 2 weeks.

So I was done on August 13, the same day my husband got a job offer... nice right!

So now I am in US for 6 weeks now- almost with the baby and everything.

I still feel for you my Canadians!!!

I could be happy just that we cleared a space for the ones waiting after us...

I will update my profile shortly... with the baby is ... I am speachless.

One more time thank to the ones who told me more about my case and took the time to answer my questions. Please let me know if we could do anything at all for yall.

If it wouldn't have been for this forum we wouldn't known that we have this choice of changing our file from one center to another.
