CR1 MTL Waiting to Interview

I just noticed on Liz's K fiance & spouse list, two of the three cases still waiting surrounded by others who have gotten their interview dates are SPOUSES. Like we are. Maybe they are taking more time double checking us? I thought that by now they would have done all the paper checking since our cases are complete.

I'm sure you are right C&C - K1's do get preferential scheduling, it's not really just a fignewton of your imagination I do believe it is in the guidelines they follow. In fact the other day I was reading something that said just that, I will try to find it again, something on the state dept website I think so may be impossible to locate again!

This happened last year/earlier this year too. K3s were bypassed for interviews at Montreal and waited a hell of a lot longer than other visa types... (CR-1/IR-1s were still fast at that time though).

K3 Timeline - 2006-11-20 to 2007-03-19

Is that so all the fiances can go spend tons of money on their weddings? Good for the economy.

Ok, I'm trying not to get excited but I just did a projection based on our and Liz’s K data, which seems encouraging. It looks possible we might all be reunited with our loved ones by the winter holidays, if several assumptions extrapolating from recent experience hold:

1. Recent incidence of new K cases (7 per month) and earlier incidence of IR/CR cases (3 per month)

2. Montreal maintains their current productivity rate of 10 interviews a week (what did they hire a whole mess of new people who started in September?) – I did account for a 3 day week during Thanksgiving week.

3. After they exhaust K fiancés they’ll redirect all that capacity to K and IR/CR couples and other close family

If you'd like to see the projection ... I hope I attached this right:

I had my medicals on october 2nd and i just picked it up today october 4th and at this point i'm just waititng for the interview. the medicals was pretty painless the only glitch was that i notice on the xray form that they had given me a middle name. I ponited that i do not have any middle name and that was corrected. I spent 3 minutes with the doc. It was at Medisys in Toronto.

Love the projection chart..

I want you all to be with your loved ones by christmas

You've got to admit that MTL's been moving faster though recently

I hope this clears everyone's cases though..

I'm still waiting for the signed police certificate to arrive at my doorstep (hubby forgot to sign), then the DS-230 will be sent off! And hopefully no RFE's or lost documents.

We will *hopefully* get done at the NVC early to mid-November. My fingers are crossed! It would be wonderful for the CR1/IR1's to get interviews!

I had noticed on my letter from the NVC my priority date. We had talked about what it meant before, but maybe we should add it to our spreadsheet? And now that I've suggested that...my mind went blank as to what it was, although I strongly remember thinking it was the NOA1 date for the I-130.

:)

Nice projection sheet C&C will be interesting to see how it all pans out!

Yes the priority date is the NOA 1 date. We can't actually add anymore to the spreadsheet unless we move it out of here to a google spreadsheet (i kind of like keeping it in the thread, but that's just me) or we squish the data - it's at capacity right now in terms of width.

However! In the IR1/CR1 forum there is a tracking sheet specifically for NOA1 to NOA2 dates.
