the majority of my family is American and I am chosing to live there and he says I am racist against Americans ?

I agree that there are still plenty of Eurosceptics left in the UK, but I think that most Brits understand that the country isn't large enough to go it alone anymore. Anti-Americanism, I would suggest, is bigger than Eurosceptism (or at least was when I was last there) and if the UK has to go one way or another, it will look East rather than West.

Eh...I dunno...I think the Brits will look wherever they think they can get the best deal. If that's the USA, they'll stick with us.

LOL, there are plenty of them in Yorkshire. I live in a village about 3 miles as the crow flies from the center of York, and there are some large open fields a very short distance from my house where there are steers. If I go to my back window I could see them if it weren't dark. Lots of cows around here....lots.

Good news and not unexpected. With the Amerikan economy being overshadowed due to its shrinking manufacturing base, declining services industry, and its War of Terror come to nought. Not forgetting the rising cost of disability support to the veterans of Amerikan aggression in Iraq and Afghanistan - especially with 19 injuries per death, many serious. The costs of the Iraq campaign will carry forward for another generation (higher taxes, dampening further economic growth).

Away from the Sesame-Street-brigade, those of you who have studied Economics have come across the maxim, "Amerika sneezes, and the rest of the world catches a cold."

However, with the U.S. Economy debt-laden, flagging and impotent, the World Economy is charging along at rapid pace and hasn't had such strong economic growth in 30 years. Only a few months ago, Chinese Stock Markets had a sudden downtown and the rest of the world held its breath.

This is harbinger.

The writing is on the wall for amerika.
