I as understand it, my passport will need to be handed in at the interview at the US embassy in Sweden. So how do I get into the airport in Stockholm, Sweden in order to return to Denmark???

Several of my friends have been stopped on both the Swedish/Danish and German/Danish border and been asked for passports ... one didn't have it but had drivers licens and was still detained for hours :) that's why I askedย

Well you either have your passport, or you donโ€™t. In your case you do not have it so you use the substitute and hope you donโ€™t get stopped, or that when youโ€™re stopped they let you off easy.

I am not in this world to live up to your expectations,

Neither are you hereย to live up to mine.

I don't owe no one no obligationย
So everything is fine, fine

You can inform them you will keep your passport until they actually require it to place your visa in, if you wish to keep it.ย

My wife took the train from Copenhagen to Stockholm and back and had no problems. They kept her passport and she kept her Danish drivers license on her. This was just last week.

No problem. And yeah, a lot of young people especially don't have their license. Oh, and just a tip for when you get further into the process (around the time of submitting your documents to the NVC and your interview), make sure you get your birth certificate from the Danish church in person (not online) and make sure there is an official signature on it. The one they issue online is not good enough because it doesn't have a signature. My wife got pinged on this during her interview last week and had to re-submit a new birth certificate with a signature. I don't want the same thing to happen to you!

I got a signed birth certificate and 2 signed papers about my maritial status .. will I need to get a specific paper on my divorce it's already in the papers from the registers office at the county and the registers office at the church? Everything here is digitalised and nobody ask for signed anything ๐Ÿ˜‚ I never got any divorce papers it was just noted in "the system" that I got the divorce ๐Ÿ˜Š
