So you wouldn't recommend staying there? The hotel is new. Was opened in January this year.

We're coming on May 31th and leaving on June 4th.

You can stay there, it's not too bad...

The hipsters are trying to move in

Thanks for the tip :)

I am, personally, interested only in GAP and Elizabeth Arden stores, lol. Dunno if I find some other interesting stores, but will keep trying :P

Go here. It's close to that hotel, designer stuff for cheap.  There's a gap across the street too.

So do you lol, that's for like cars.

You pay your resident sales tax no matter where you buy it.

Otherwise, how's the state gonna know if you bought a beer in NJ and drank it in NY?

Actually, it applies to almost ALL items bought out of state.....not just cars.  I guess it's voluntary...LOL.

Especially cars. I lease and buy my cars in NJ always. But we're on the hook for NY sales tax. NYC is a rip off man, tax, fines. I even pay a city income tax of like 4...something %.

But hey, I make a good living...

Years ago, even if you lived outside of NYC, but you work here, you have to pay the NYC income tax. The commuters sued and won.

After all, this is a city of welfare. Somebody's (me) gotta pay for it...

Cold overnight. Hot water frozen today. This isn't winter, it's harassment now.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.
