1- You numb nut.....I have 2 little sissy girls remember? Duh!  Besides that, my in laws will probably be here, and they've never been on a nice trip, no less a luxury trip. So, I'm going to treat them to a stay at the Grand Floridian. With a theme park view room.

2- Now for 2020, remember my friend the boat mechanic?  The one with the giant indoor pool here? They have a beautiful house in Florence Italy, they keep inviting me over there, so next year, it's Italy. They want us to go because they're older now. They want us to go to their florida house too.....#### I shoulda been a boat mechanic.....

1. My daughter would have died rather than go to Disney, but she's kind of weird like that. Never into Disney princesses either.

It is very nice of you to do that for them.

2. See, Italy sounds nice as long as you avoid the tourists.

I keep wanting to go visit relatives in Florida, but I can't think of a time of the year in which it would be nice to go. Florida is one of the only direct flights from here and actually cheap at less that $200/person.  CT is like 500

But some of the things you generally really want to see have lots of tourists there. Even if it's cold and rainy in February.

But seriously, the week we spent there around Valentine's in 2018 was pretty nice. Also where PRG irrationally agreed to marry me.

Now, when I go there, I don't wanna see ####. Especially not the mainlanders from China squatting in front of the Gucci store to eat their ramen.

But the wife, she's a pygmy, hasn't seen ####. So....we go to Italy...

Awww, did you propose somewhere romantic?

My mother and aunt went a couple of years ago and she said it was awful with the amount of tourists, like almost unbearable. She's generally a genial traveller, so I took that comment seriously.

So get some plane tickets with your ox-themed discover card, and get on a plane baby!

Poor Dutch might melt tho...

I was thinking this time of year might not be so bad, but I see it is 85 there. I think he'd kill me if I took him from somewhere where the high is going to be 0 tomorrow to that. Talk about a body shock.

Plus, he's getting too skinny to be called an ox. He's more like a Clydesdale now.

Speaking of mainlanders, we haven't seen Shrimpie...

We've lost all of the Minnesota people, except me.

I've been wondering what became of the grumpy one with the British husband and the leaking roof.

Somewhat. We were walking around Palatine Hill (near the Forum and Coliseum), I sit down on bench in a pretty clearing, she thinks I'm just tired, I pull a ring box out of my inside coat pocket, and she has this really surprised expression while she realizes what's going on (wasn't completely surprised I proposed that trip, but she was figuring on Valentine's Day proper), and then I get around to asking her and she says of course she will.

Speaking of rewards Steve, I got something today about Citi having a regular savings account with 2.36% interest, with just a minimum $500 deposit for no fees.  Why the heck is that so much better than my bank's rate? That is around what my bank is offering for a CD, I think.
