I got my nails done because mine were very short and i dont do a lot with them.  Well i decided i dont like the shape but since i just had them done sat, i should prolly wait until sat to get them redone.  If i dont go insane first that is.  😰

Could not join crew in smearing pre-owned toilet seats with clam chowder for National Clam Chowder Day, sigh man.

 

As insult-to-injury, Mrs. T-B.'s stupid maid came today, keep secret from us man.

As usual, all shampoos et al. in shower replaced completely in disarray, grrrr man.

As usual, kitchen garbage removed before we could put necessary items in it before curbsiding, grrrr man.

As usual, all our stuff on the floor disordered, grrrr man.

As usual, brand-new wastebasket bag with ONE item in it completely removed and trash-binned, grrrr man.

As usual, entire casa reeks of bleach, take days to dissipate man.

If we ever meet this chica, she will be duly instructed and will NEVER up-screw again, Don't Mess with Us man.

And we told Mrs. T-B. to forewarn us so we can post signs on what NOT to mess with, grrrrRRRRRR man.

Casas are supposed to be our castles, not the plaything of an interloper, si and no man.

It is funny in some ways because I'm sure her perception of me is bad too. At times, I think if I wasn't the only child of hers, she'd have way less of an interest in staying in touch.  It makes me miss my step-dad. We got along great.

This morning I was down to my lowest weight since May of 2013. Next hurtle is losing the instant 5 pounds I gained when we moved back to America.  I'm also at the weight I was when we got engaged. Wheeeeeee. My lower waist measurements are still a couple inches bigger, but I think my stomach just needs more time to come back into place.

 

The Dane has lost over 30lbs since the start of the year. He's lower than he's ever been since I've known him.

Way to go! Sounds like you're really following through on whatever new year resolutions you made. At our HOA clubhouse, I noticed the workout room was pretty full the first three weeks of January but by the 4th weekend it was mostly empty again, as it is for the other 11 months of the year. I've started going to a nearby community center when there's too much snow or ice around to do my weekend run. I was doing the treadmill but hadn't realized that they had an indoor track. Now that I've done the indoor track for 1 hour on each of the last two weekends, I'm hooked. Bye bye boring old treadmill. The weird thing is that half of the track borders these really huge windows that look down on the running trail I use in good weather, so it's sort of like having the same visual experience. The other thing I like about the comm ctr is they have a full size olympic pool. Love doing laps. Lost my big weight the first 6 months La Colombiana moved here almost 4 years ago. She struggles with her weight but she's a big gym rat so she controls it that way when she has the time.

Your community center sounds great! I tried to convince them to get an indoor pool during the brainstorming stage, but that didn't happen. Ours will have a track at some point, but the building is close to the outside temp in the winter so that the ice stays cold without costing any money. I'm trying to take advantage of the rink while it is there and then switch to walking when it becomes safe again. 

 

I had kind of plateaued with my post-baby weightloss in September. I was already down lower than I was pre-baby, but I was just so hungry all the time. I think my hormone levels coming back to normal has killed that drive to eat a full day's calories overnight.  🤣  

 

I'm surprised the Dane has followed through on it. I kind of expected him to just give up after a couple of weeks. I'm not sure what his end goal is, but the upper limit for his height, 225ish depending on where you look, does seem a little too skinny.

Random aside, I think the Dane might be the only person in history to round his height down. I think he might actually be an inch taller than he says.  🧐

My boss claims he's 6'5" but he looks 6'6" to most of us. I think the rounding up/down depends on how tall you are in the first place. I used to give my brother a hard time when he would list his height as 5'11 3/4 inches, as he's the exact same height as I am and I'm 5'11" on the nose. In the good news department, my annual physical keeps confirming that I'm 5'11. At least I haven't started shrinking yet at 58 yrs of age. Haven't been so lucky on some of the other aspects of aging, though.
