My cousin in Northern Wisconsin has Lyme disease. I guess that's not uncommon. It's a sucky disease by what my cousin has told me and how she lives her life.

I made decent waffles finally.  Had to make them from scratch though which was a pain in the arm! If i was making them for more than 2 people I would have used the mixer to wisk the egg whites but 2 egg whites seemed a bit much to yank out the kitchenaid! 

There's absolutely nothing about these that are low calorie though... LMAO

Hey Niki, ever been to Banff?

 

Traveling anywhere, even domestically from where we are is a lot, but I see going Winterpeg to Calgary is pretty affordable.  

 

I was thinking of flying to Montana until I saw it would take just as long to drive and be the same price as going to Europe. Ridiculous.

Flying to/from Montana sucks. That's where I went to HS and college and I still have some family (couple of brothers with second homes) and friends there. They're always asking for us to visit but like you say, a trip to Europe is cheaper. Last March, La Colombiana and I flew to two different destinations in Europe for under $500 apiece. On our one trip to MT, 2 years ago, we drove one way, and I sent LC back on a flight on frequent flier mileage for the return trip (she was not willing to do another 2 days on the road). Even today, I see RT airfare to Italy for $600.

I miss living near the NY airports, because flying to Europe or anywhere was cheaper. Our big issue where we are is that the closest big domestic airport is far away. I don’t like the idea of counting on getting admittance to Canada just to go to the airport while planning a vacation. 

 

I think Montana was going to be at least 2 transfers too. Our small airport to MSP, then to DEN or SLC, and then up.

Shortly after my first meeting with the Pretty Russian Girl, I was looking at tickets to go to the extended family Thanksgiving (parents moved, disrupting my convenient short holiday flights to Denver, though they were back there this Christmas). San Diego to Cleveland over Thanksgiving cost about as much as my ticket to Hong Kong had. I stayed home for Thanksgiving .

Banff is expensive but lord is it beautiful.  Its about 3 hours outside of Calgary I think. Canmore is closer and also quite nice.
