This is all of them. I ended up with a bunus chick the blue one. She hatched while the lady was at work and didn't want to leave her alone. I bough all four that hatched earlier so a lone chick would not do well she asked if I wanted a 5th. of course I did :) I used all the old wives tales I could find to sex them. According to the tales they are all girls. Oh how I wish that could be true. I won't know until much later Silkies are notorious for being one of the hardest to sex. Most of the time you have to wait until they crow or lay an egg.

Reminds me of a road sign from a seller I used to pass on my daily commute: Best Chicks in Santa Fe.

 

Speaking of Santa Fe... I went to a live music show last night and the two bands each performed their own original song entitled "Santa Fe". The weird thing was neither band had roots here. One had been doing their song for 12 years, the other for 6, the latter performing their very first show in Santa Fe last night.

I woke up really early this morning, as in 0230 early. There was a dog standing on my face. And yipping. Seems we were having quite a thunderstorm, and it wasn't her particular cup of tea. 

Until it ended, at about 0630 she panted, she paced, she whined. Following the last clap of thunder, she got into her doggie bed and went right off to sleep. Himself didn't hear a thing. So I am running on about 3 hours sleep today, and cranky.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

The littlest Dane learned how to climb onto the sofa today. That is not my favorite thing.

A 32 year old just died in Minnesota from the flu. That hits close to home.  

 

The Dane is still not feeling 100% and went to work today during a blizzard. They've since closed the highway and the rest of the roads are NTA. I went out just in town earlier to fill out my background check stuff for new job and it was basically a complete whiteout beyond the edges of town.  We have so much snow and still have 3 months of winter left. We've already had to rake the snow off the roof and one of my neighbors has from the ground to the roof covered in a snow drift, completely blocking their windows.
