See, I‘ve never been one to get a flushot...because I just don‘t believe in them.

haven‘t had a flu in many many many years  and just don‘t think it‘s necessary ( especially because I usually have a mild cold once or twice a year and that‘s it)

This year, I had to go the the shot because my brother in law‘s wife kinda forced us to get one because of their kids...

long story short, I got the shot one month ago and have been sick 3 times since then..but no..not only a little cold...big time fever and any flu syptoms you can find in the books 😷

I'm sorry. Mine has cleared up a lot lately. For that, I am very grateful.

Dane is still pretty sick. This is day 3 of a fever over 103. He actually woke me up because he was feeling so unwell.

This was my face when I took his pulse ox before it occurred to me that his fingers might be too big/calloused: 😨.  His pinky reading was better.  He looks like ghost poo. So, I think he'll be heading to the doctor's walk in hours this morning, but now I'm too anxious to sleep.

Trophie, 103 is extremely high for an adult. He's big and fat (I had to put "fat" in), he has to take like 6 Tylenols a shot.

Use your Teladoc app.....

That's what a flu shot is....the flu virus itself.

Once you get used to the shots, you'll handle them better.

well if you go to the gym everyday and lift weights, and then 1 day you had to do yardwork, or move furniture, your muscles wouldn't hurt the next day right?

so....if you get the flu shot and get the flu, the next time you get it, it wouldn't be so bad. :)

Voila!

The groundhog didn't see his shadow this morning. That means....it's gonna be Spring next week yay!

Speaking of groundhogs, we haven't seen Stretch all week....

Eh, it was brought down with just 2 ibuprofen.

He's going to doc in town this morning and bringing the oldest one who has also developed a fever and a cough. I woke up this morning to 102 and coughing too.

The three of them all tested positive for the flu. Doctor prescribed tamiflu since the rest of us just got a fever this morning. So everyone but the Dane is getting tamiflu, even littlest Dane to prevent it.

I just spend half an hour trying to get the oldest one to swallow the pill. That kid is some kind of special.

Himself gets the flu shot, given his immunosuppression he has to. He just can't have any live virus.  Lucky me, I am allergic to the flu shot, so every year I just take my chances.  We rarely come into contact with anyone, way out here.

I think my luck has run out this year.  Once I get things put in order, and the meds passed out, I am retreating to bed with my book. I won't be able to actually stay there all day, his medication alarms are spaced about every two hours, but I'd rather have to get up than sit here and wait.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.
