I'm actually bummed today because it is non-negative temps and I can't go for a ski because there is no one to watch the kids.  It is annoying.

 

Both the Dane and I are built for the cold.  Maybe we should stick around here? We are very seriously discussing moving to Portland in the next year or two. I think I've hit my boredom/cultural limit here. It is beginning to feel stagnating.

Eh, not really.  I think it might be colder than here in the summer. Hopefully, he and the kids will be less likely to burn too. As it is, the younger kids are inside a lot of the summer because the sun here is too intense.  The older one at least has some melanin.

Their winter weather is shorts weather, if I wore shorts. For me, that would be exercise skorts.  But, the summers sound excellent.

 

I'm actually pretty serious with this - my kids can't even use the town pool in the summer because of the sun. I suggested it be put indoors as part of a project the town is doing, but no luck.  The Dane sweats off about a gallon a day when it is above 80.

Would someone move south who would?  You couldn't pay me enough money to move south of the Mason Dixon.

I've just been out to retrieve the rubbish bin from its trip down the lawn to the lake. Forgot my coat in my haste. That wind today is brutal.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.
