So the chicks are in the office she and I share. It’s been a month now.....the chickens can fly out of their little cardboard coop....and I am hating life a little more every day.....

Oh Poo baby. At lest Diabetes can be managed and she will forgive you. Plus the special diet food will be much better tasting then the other stuff she has been eating.

Our old boy has blood pressure issues and needs meds daily now. All tests for everything else was good. He did lose some of his eyesight but not all and no retinal detachment. We got him in early enough.  The reason we brought him in as his eyes looked off and he was missing the black glass table easily all of a sudden. He feels much better now and acts more like himself.

My family history pre-dates the Revolution (American) by a century. Ancestors arrived in Canada and New England mid-1600's.

My grandma was in the DAR, they were old WASPs.

I don't think Minnesotans care about the French history. They are more interested in Norway, always Norway, despite that so many of them in this area are Polish/German/Czech in origin.

Get her weight down Tbone.  Cats get a kind of type 2 diabetes that can be managed through insulin or weight.

I'm glad you took her to the vet so you know what the issue is.  She will be happy to be home though and it's better than kidney disease!

There's currently two diabetic foods that I know of.  Royal Canin Glycobalance and Purina DM.  The DM is pretty good and I think cheaper than the glycobalance.

There are more houses with their backyards already flooded and they are putting sandbags around them. The city said they were going to go door to door and they haven't. It seems they have completely left these folks without any place to go.
