We arrive hotly/sweatily/exhaustedly from airport at about Many (2x2x2+2+half) o'clock, p.m. man.

No one had pulled in the garbage bins, no man.

No one had brought in the newspapers, no man.

No one had checked the mail, no man.

Case of water was blocking ingress to the casa, push through we man.

No one had watered, fed, din-dinned, or brushed cat, neglected miu man.

No one had cleaned litterbox, no man.

Many (2+1) downstairs lights were left on, none helpful to our ingress/functioning, no man.

Door of medicine-cabinet cut into face-westing wall left closed, all contents melted/incinerated man.

There is more that we are too sleepy to remember, zzz now we man.

Now, my wife thinks I'm Bill Gates. 

I just paid for her Chanel bag. Now she wants new carpet for the bedroom. I gotta swap out a car for a van. One of the central air units need replacing. Summer vacation is coming up...

The sun is out! Looks like a couple of quiet days ahead. The roads around here and there are still closed, but I think I can get as far as the grocery store. The Post Office is on River Street, well named, and the water is halfway up the stop sign out in front, so I don't think they will be delivering today.  The river doesn't crest here until tomorrow, so it might be a while. 

 

Himself has the first of two birthdays today, and he is getting the same card as every year, recycled (inside joke) and a couple of presents.

So my sister got some baby chickens. And while this would be a non event for the most of the world.....my sister decided the chicks should be around people. So the chicks are in the office she and I share. It’s been a month now.....the chickens can fly out of their little cardboard coop....and I am hating life a little more every day.....
