Yesterday, we got a courtesy copy of a letter from our insurance co. to Dr. Quack, saying that more medical justification was needed before another MRI for us would be approved, poetic justice man.

 

We nearly called the insurer to tell them that it's NOT medically necessary, quack quack quack man.

 

Today, we were called by a nooser to schedule our approved MRI, here we go again man.

We have scheduled this for May Many'th, sigh man.

If we are to owe even one penny for it, we shall tell them to MRI their own backside, alimentary our dear Watson man.

 

Coupled with this, our back was worse than ever today, thanks Dr. Quack man.

One of our recent purchases at an ES was a "Jack & Jill" children's magazine published in 1ManyManyMany (Many [2x2x2x2x2x2] years ago), antique man.

 

It has longer and shorter stories to match Mini-B.'s pre-bedtime reading allocation, perfect man.

Mini-B. (and even Mrs. T-B., when she kibitzes) enjoys the old books that we've been finding, enjoy wee man.

We have all just read The Tawny-Scrawny Lion, The Saggy-Baggy Elephant, and Tootles together, high-quality man.

We vaguely or acutely remember some of these from our youthhood, re-enjoy we man.

Mini-B. is always impressed when we tell him the years of publication & ages of these books, impressed wee man.

He always asks, "Daddy, did you have these when you were my age, huh man?" inquire wee of we man.

We are happy to be able to share these with little Mini-B., re-live and build memories man.

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).
