Spouse would love that. We could accomplish two birds with one trip. "See the USA in your Chevro . . . " wait wrong song. Actually we do have plans to take one with us when we make "le grand demenagement" (that means "big move" TB) back to France to spend our retirement in the pastoral hills of the French countryside.

Four hours of team building exercise this afternoon at work. At least I get to wear jeans. Never know what to expect with these things. Do the managers really expect team spirit to lift? Seems to me they'd be better off with a mandatory happy hour at some tavern, starting at 3 o'clock. That would sure lift my spirtis.

Seems to be doing great. She's keeping busy (and is a much better cook than I am), we've met a few times with another Russian-American couple on about the same timeline we're on. Has been to three comic book movies with me :D.

I totally agree.  I think there must be some aspect of forced socialization that they are trying to accomplish under the "team building", but it is just that, forced, so it doesn't work.

 

My husband has been laughing at me lately getting to experience working again, because like him, I enjoy what I actually do for a job, but just not the working environment.  It gave me a moment last week where I was like "I'm moving somewhere more progressive, that's it".

Miserable night last night. Dog pacing and panting, Himself sleeping of course. The only thing that would quiet her was for me to sit at my desk, she would go under that into her bed and fall directly to sleep. As you would do with a baby, I quietly tried to sneak back to bed. Resulting in instant on, pacing and panting. I sat up until after 0300. No wonder I am tired.  The sun is out today, very nice out there. Trouble is we are due for more weather tonight, after dark again.

 

Himself (aka Chickie) is having a wonderful time yakking back and forth with his mates from 1969. Some of the stories they are swapping make me wonder how they never got into real trouble. Teenagers :D  He will have to get used to people calling him Bill again, not his name. That was what he used to be called before his Mother did the change-all-the-kids-names-first-last-middle because she got remarried.
