Sorry to hear you're sick  SAT vomiting worse than awful,  feel better soon.

Meeting with oncologist this morning to discuss mri results. ....over 75% of the liver taken over by the cancer so no way to physically treat at thispoint,  gonna have to resort to chemo, which will be 'more tolerable' oral but he'll be on it forever.  After all we've gone through to get to this point of us being together, & now this. ...just can't seem to catch a break in life or so it seems.

Hope everyone else is groovy xx

I don't really have words, but just big hugs from me.

Mrs. T-B. is in one of her moods, sigh man.

She says, "If you won't buy me a new casa, then this one will be completely changed," sigh man.

She plans to trash all our perfectly good furniture, sigh man.

She plans to throw out even more stuff, unnamed but sigh man.

Most immediately, she plans to have her intrusive maid here for 2 days, disaster man.

Maid is guaranteed to make us go ballistic-aysheep, Many% certainty man.

She touches our stuff when she's not supposed to, grrr man.

She doesn't replace stuff where it was, grrr man.

She considers trash-bags with ONE ITEM in them to be throw-out items, wasteful she man.

We are lucky not to have cerebrally hemorrhaged after her past visits, grrrRRRRR man.

However, we never have any control over her invitation, presence, or activity, sigh man.

As preemptive action, we cleaned up a little of our bedroom floor, probably necessary man.

However, this is totally unnatural behavior that cannot possibly be continued, violation of Self man.

We told Mrs. T-B. that we will clean our areas a little at a time, not at her whim man.

We wonder if this will register lastingly, pessimistic we man.

Never trust anything that bleeds for 2 weeks yet does not die, no man.

Since 97% of my schoolwork is done for the semester, I am beginning my spring clean and neglected household maintenance.  The Dane, I think, would rather I didn't spring clean, because it means he also must do some.

Rather than a new house, I have an endlessly growing list of projects:

  • finish our downstairs countertop/pantry area, which is cruising along
  • scrapping and painting our overhangs
  • building my screened in porch
  • removing sand from the majority of the backyard (I really wish the previous homeowners hadn't put it there in the first place)
  • building a big new covered sandbox
  • removing more of the raised beds that surround our foundation and placing grass in their stead
  • finish concreting the interior french drains
  • get rid of the massive pile of pea rock in the basement
  • putting tile down in our dining room
  • replacing our kitchen cabinets
  • and on and on

See, us ladies will never be satisfied.

Go get a new house...

House constructed to my specifications is going to end up be like 4x the cost of our house.  I looked up the property taxes for a new house in my town, it was 8x what ours is (partially to pay off the new street/utilities).  I'm not paying that much money to live here. I'm hightailing it to Portland at that price.

Well start high tailing!

My house was constructed to my design, and I've spent the last 14 years making modifications, and it's a losing battle. My next house, I'm buying used, let the previous owners work out the kinks. I'll just allot a budget to renovate it to my needs.

Hang in there SM. I've seen such a broad range of reactions to cancer treatment in my life among friends and family, including full remission from stage 4 cancer. Thank you for keeping us up to date. Rooting for you always.
