It's fairly warm here, in the mid 50s, but windy. So, cold.

I went to the car wash with the Lexus, but the line was a mile long.

I'm weighing whether to hand wash it. But I'm too lazy. It's filthy. All 3 cars are filthy. But I don't wash the Honda and the Yukon :D

TIL My husband doesn't like 90s/early 2000s rap.  He doesn't like Nas.

No, just no.

It is bad enough he was raised in a musical vacuum, but this is just going too far.

Hence, I'm going to download a bunch of it and play it in the car every time we go out.

Rant-filled Saturday report, see man:

The Many events below were not all bad, no man, but many were, si man.

Hit road to beach at Many (2x2x2+1) a.m., road trip man.

Detoured to one GS while Mrs. T-B. dozed, nothing there man.

Arrived at beach at half-past Many (2x2x2+2) and stayed for 2 hours, slighly sunburned we man.

Mini-B. had much fun, playfully intelligent we man.

Saw only 2 gaviotas (seagulls), what's up with that man.

Lunched at traditional beachfront restaurant, full-price menus sigh man.

Couldn't eat our waitress-recommended order, too fried man.

Waitress replaced it with blackened tilapia, far more edible man.

However, we began eating after Mrs. T-B. & Mini-B. were already finished, timing man.

Mini-B. feeling poorly (exhausted?) afterwards, so no resale-shopping or ESs man.

Hit road for the casa, 2 p.m. man.

Missed optimal exit, oh well continue we man.

GPS directed us toward known construction area, avoid we man.

Many'rd/final route featured ALL-LANE Interstate closure, gridlock for miles man.

Feeder roads were often down to single lanes, too, gridlock for miles man.

No direct-trafficking cops, either, no man.

Took us over 2 hours to break free on normally under-an-hour trip, egad man.

Barely made dry-cleaners before closing at Many (2+2) p.m., last moment man.

Was to meet Hondureño handyman at Home Despot to pick up new warshing-machine, caucus we man.

Rushed to HD, speed we man.

After lengthy scratch-headings, deduced that HH was at a different HD, :bonk: man.

Waited over half an hour for HH & accomplice to appear, deadly dull wait man.

HH & accomplice installed new machine, install they man.

Test run yielded no water entering drum; concluded that machine needed items in it, OK man.

Dismissed HH & accomplice after payment of $Many, painful to give money to anyone man.

Tested machine with load of kitchen rags, Saturday night man.

No action, none man.

Waited/tested/waited/tested for 2 hours, exhaust resourcefulness we man.

Tried calling HD, no answer man.

Finally went back to HD, after Many (2x2x2+1) p.m. man.

Nice saleslady most sympathetic, sympathetic she man.

Enlisted equally nice Store Managerette, sympathetic she man.

Outcome was as follows, see man:

     1.  Sale of brand-new GE machine (larger Many. Many capacity) to us, si man, at (get this, man)

exactly Many ($2x2x2+1) -- yes, Many ($2x2x2+1) -- more than original floor model, steal man.

     2.  Specially arranged retrieval on Sun. of defective Whirlpool floor model, around noon or 1 man.

Many.  Full credit for latter upon retrieval, a true warsh man.

Many.  New machine to be delivered during unknown Many-hour window on April Many'rd, lost half-day man.

We had no nap but are glad that issue was resolved, relief man.

Meanwhile, at the casa, old machine eventually did something, molasses-like man.

When we returned, it was sitting dormantly on the Rinse cycle, lather rinse repeat man.

An hour later (midnight, Many [2+2] hours after starting), cycle stopped, at last man.

We beheld clean-but-unspun contents, Drain & Spin man.

We wonder how long it will be before the last cycle above completes itself, molasses man.

Furthermore, we shall have to hit a laundromat very early on Sun. with crucial loads, egad man.

Might as well dry the stuff there, too, why lug waterlogged stuff home man.

No rest for the exhausted, no and no zzz man.

We might be able to hit the one Sunday ES locally, hope springs eternal man.

We don't have traffic here.  It is magical.

Have you learned a lesson about floor models?  They get kind of beaten up with the opening/closing and kids crawling in them, etc.

Just read in another thread about something called a mobile clergy who will meet couples at an airport to marry them immediately. Weirdly, that seems like an interesting job for me, post-retirement in about 8 years. I wouldn't want to have to do any religious mumbo jumbo though, unless maybe I had the license to screw with the participants like saying... may Allah bless your union to a Christian couple, or vice versa.

1.  Our last warsher was a floor model, worked perfectly for years till it died ma'am.

2.  This was obviously an internal computer issue, and kids rarely climb into top-loader warshers, see ma'am.

Home Despot picked up the old one today, and we await the arrival of our brand-new one at the same price
