Well, 50 years since Himself was involved. I think it started well before that, like in about 1955. I think it may have been the first televised war, you could watch it in the evenings with your dinner.

I think it will be interesting for sure.  It will be a bit of a logistical nightmare to get him there, but needs must.

We've just started to melt a little, but the giant mountains of snow remain. A snowstorm or even a rainstorm at this juncture might mean historic levels of flooding like they've been having in Nebraska. There is already something like a 90% chance of major flooding along the big river (not near us, thankfully).

 

Everybody is glued to the weather forecast and waiting to see if the ice dams up near Winnipeg. The river flows south to north, so how Canada melts is of critical importance.

I passed the first half of my math comprehensive exams, now I'm wading into 💩 with the second half.

 

I'm reviewing Differential Equations and I see LaPlace transforms are on the list. Of course we didn't cover that at old school because ODE didn't require Calc III, so it was a topic for PDE, which I haven't taken.  I don't even know what else I'm missing out on - I requested the final exam for this school, which other students are allowed to use as reference during this comprehensive exam, but was denied.  💩

 

Not that I'd remember any of it anyway because it was the semester I had my oldest kid during. 

 

Annnnnnnd this textbook sucks.
