Interview didn't go that great, at least in my view. I'm not too sure if it was my purple hair or the fact I haven't worked in years, but HR lady seemed indifferent. I've actual never had an interview for which I didn't get the job, so I sense it might hurt my ego some. Then again, I wasn't really sure it was going to work anyway because I can only afford to work a weekend a month so I don't lose health insurance.

My sense in speaking with men and women about job interviews and subsequent rejections is that women take rejections harder. My theory is that back in the day it was the guys who got rejected early in their lives when asking women for dates. So by the time they do job interviews they handle rejection better. Just a theory. Could be full of doo doo.

I think your point is pretty valid. I think the only time I've gotten rejected by a guy was in 7th or 8th grade. I was crushing on him hard, so it was pretty devastating. That ended up turning out for the best because he got arrested for dealing drugs after high school.  

 

I have a general problem with women, I think, especially into my later adulthood. Men I get along with fine, but I often get the impression that a lot of women don't like me (which I know is ridiculous because they are probably very inwardly focused and not thinking about me at all). 

 

I got an email about volunteering at the library this week, and I'm definitely jumping on that.

Celebrated Mini-B.'s birthday at o'dark-Many (meaning before Many a.m., infernal wee hour man).

We & Mrs. T-B. gave him a tablet-controllable Beyblade, delighted wee man.

We gave him the connect-the-dots and Knock-Knock books, delighted wee man.

 

We dropped his birthday cupcakes at his skool, well-defined system man.

Naturally, Mrs. T-B. got some with peanut products in them, disqualify half his class  ADD she man.

We are mystified how and why peanut allergies are so rife when our generation had none, puzzling man.

We don't understand how some wives:

        1.  Work full-time, productive man

        2.  Have Many, Many, or Many kids, fecund man

Many.  Manage to have something requiring effort on the table when their husbands come home, basic man

Many.  Don't require their husbands to inquire daily if there is/whether there'll be anything for din-din, uncertainty man

Many.  Don't get offended when Many is asked of them, fair question man

Many.  Don't get offended when 1., 2., Many, Many, and Many are pointed out to them, fair questions man
