are auctions usually cash only?

We once held an auction for a specially autographed POTS (by us & several countries' Presidents), si man.

It was over as of first bid, fast man.

Asking Bid was $Many,000; however, first bidder immediately bid $Many,000,000,000,000,000, $i man.

That bidder had come prepared with caravans of big rigs filled with currency, dump it right there man.

Took our monthly CPAs Many weeks to count the cash, luckily not tax season then man.

Winning bidder went away happy, whee man.

Last class yesterday, grading all done except for turning-in final grades to registrars office and  I'm free for 2 weeks. Except that I have to now get all dolled-up and look professional to go listen to the same 12 students give their final presentations this afternoon to the powers that be that I listened to yesterday. Gotta do the political thing, smile, smile and smile some more with a camera pointed at me. Uggggh.

It takes like 1 year to set up a phone the way I like it. And by then it's a piece of #### already.

Man I don't have time for this...

Isn't there an app that can set up the phone for you?

I actually buy things online a couple of time a year from Walmart. Their service has always been great and the prices are low. I just bought a 24 inch bike for the oldest one that seems pretty decent and came quickly.

On the other hand, I'd rather go to just about any store in person than Walmart. It is the worst of the worst around here. Target is less than a mile away and our groceries always end up less expensive at Target.

It's not buying from WALMART that bothers me, it's all the independent sellers.

Oh yeah, that is annoying AF. I hate that on Amazon too, especially if it sneaks in and you can't do free returns.

I bought a scrub top on Amazon recently, ended up being a 3rd party seller, and of course, despite reading reviews, following the size chart, etc., it is too short and too tight in the chest.  It is a $20 shirt, probably $8 to ship back.  🙄

Just sat here, getting up the energy to give the evening meds, and was wondering why I am so tired. Dumb. Did the laundry, hung it out, brought it in, put it away. Bathed the dog, who hates water. Planted all the new stuff in the flower boxes. Mowed most of the lawn, until it got too dark to see. Somewhere in the middle of all that I  lugged 12 x 40lb bags of topsoil from the car to the new garden. Not surprised now that I think of it.

Sufficient unto the day.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

Should have just gotten a truckload of it. We need to do that soon. We removed the ginormous sand play area in our back yard and need to add some topsoil back in.

I think I'm having an existential crisis.  I'm like this close to applying to graduate programs in Scandinavia.

The Dane is not helping. He actually tried to encourage me the other day to go back and finish my mining degree.  NO.  NO.    NO.
