Filed: K-1 Visa Country: Indonesia
Timeline

Okay so my visa petition is in transit to the embassy in Jakarta, Indonesia. It says to visit the site nvc.state.gov and to complete steps 1-6.

The first step step is choose an agent.

-I tried to do that and it says that a ds 160 needs to be filled out.

Then the 3rd step is submit visa application form and fill out ds-260. Again it says they need the ds- 160 form.

step 4.

I tried to fill out the IRS transcript online but the system is under maintence.

Step 6

this is what I’m confused about!

-I thought I could bring all of these documents with me to the interview when we get the date to Indonesia. But this is saying submit them to the NVC.

I also am confused because some sites are referring it to a Nonimmigrant visa and some are saying it’s an immigrant visa. I was under the impression it was Nonimmigrant.

please help! Thank you all.

For a K-1 you don't do anything at NVC. The case just gets assigned a number and passed to the embassy/consulate for processing.

A DS-160 can be completed. I'll defer to others as for the timing as that varies by embassy.

IRS transcripts are currently unavailable due to the shutdown. You can send the 1040 + all W-2s/1099s/other schedules instead.
