Hoping someone can help. I filed a 601 waiver for my fiance in January 2017. We only received notice of the receipt. We have contacted them several times and always get the same answer. They tell us that it is in line to be reviewed. I cannot begin to imagine why it would take so long. Our next question is that his 10 year ban will be up in March and so we are curious as to what we will need to do if by March we still have not heard anything in reference to the Waiver. Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.

You can file an I-129f.  Your fiance cannot be issued a visa while the ban is still on but by the time it gets to that point the ban will be over. Marrying in Mexico or on the International Bridge on the border and filing for a spousal visa may be preferable. It takes about the same time (maybe 2 months more) but is cheaper and he'd be a LPR on arrival, able to work and travel vs AOS from K1 takes a long time and he won't be able to work or travel for at least 6 months.

No we do not have an attorney, up to this point I have done everything myself because of the cost associated with an attorney. I did actually recently contact my congressman but it was at the same time the government was shutting down.
