Are tax transcripts from the IRS acceptable at the interview if the original 1040’s are not available? I sent my fiancee the transcripts from the last three years that the IRS sent to me.

tax transcripts are fine, if all you have are the 104's then you would need W2

what you sent is good no need to worry.

Tax transcripts are better evidence than 1040's.  I sent 1040's with W2's to NVC but two days before the interview I was reading on this forum about it and decided to send the transcripts to my wife by email.

The day of the interview, the documents collector at the embassy asked my wife specifically if she had more information regarding my income, to which my wife replied yes and handed over the transcripts. The lady employee said this was what she was looking for. This happened on November 2018.  This was my experience, I believe you should be okay with the transcripts alone.

Either a copy of the full return (1040 + all W-2s/109s/other schedules) or a tax transcript is fine. The tax transcript is simpler since it's just 1 document.

A copy of 1040 will be ok.I brought the copies of 3 years first page of 1040 forms but they only took 2017's then asked me why I only had the first  page? 😅 I didn't even know they should have another pages . But they accepted it too.

Hi. The transcripts do not need to be signed. Just have them ready and organized.

IR-1/CR-1 requirements are not necessarily the same as K-1. Also, different embassies have different requirements. Transcripts are always good.

Finally done...
