what to do after getting MNL#

My Question:

Is it okay to pay the visa fee and book visa interview when you have your MNL# or is it advisable you wait for your case status to be 'Ready' on the website. if not when is the best time to do it?

Pay right away and do ds 160 coz anytime it’s gonna be ready your status
