My wife called USCIS today and all Tier 2 would say is that it's under review. We're waiting for over 200 days now. Thank goodness our green card interview was scheduled for mid-August, but that just means that filing for EAD and AP was a waste of time.

did you get a notice in the mail for the interview or did she tell you over the phone?

Noa1 Jan 11th for 485/ead/ap

received email last that i485 has been scheduled for interview and it’s been ready for an interview for 145 days. The case tracker app has not been Updated yet either, it still shows ready for interview.

Still no word on ap or ead. State senators office is looking into it but I don’t believe that really helps. We will see.

Yep I’m in the same boat for AOS. Still waiting on interview date.

call USCIS For EAD and make an inquiry online. They should respond to it by August 15th. Good luck!

I did do that as well last week when they changed processing times to 5 months.  At this point we will probably get GC before EAD/AP.

Good Morning guys; just wanted to give y’all an update. On 07/31, I received a notification from USCIS that ‘my case is ready to be scheduled for an interview’ good news! But honestly I live in Chicago and the processing time is 12-36 freaking months, so I thought nothing of it. Fast forward 6 DAYS LATER; I got the All important notice ‘interview has been scheduled, we will send you a receipt notice’. 😪 it’s been 3 years since I stared this process so I just want it to be over lol

oh btw this isn’t through marriage. It’s PR MOTHER FILING FOR UNMARRIED SON/daughter under 21

You interviewed on May 22 and still haven’t heard back? Don’t they approve or reject on the spot?

I guess not. I thought the same thing. After the interview I was told I'd get a decision in the mail, then I was given the usual talk about lifting conditions once the green temp card is received.

To answer both, not always decision is made on spot. Sometimes the background checks aren't completed, sometimes they want to double check paperwork. It's like an AP with K1. Once you're there, you're there. Difference is, most likely you'll get your decision soon. I'd give them a call and see whats taking so long. Ask for T2. (Call->English->check status->don't know your receipt number->still don't know->Customer service->ask for T2)

I've spoken to tier 2, I was told that the case is still being reviewed and that I'm within the normal processing times. I'll call again in 2 weeks.

On a side note, I checked the "issue social security number" box when I applied for EAD, do they normally send the card with the ssn or is that a whole separate process with additional waiting time? I've read on here that sometimes people don't get the ss card and still have to personally go to a ssa office to apply.
