Hello all!

We filed our I-130 and I-485 January 11, and was delivered january 13. Until now Feb 7, we didnt receive any mail or text and the check hasnt been cashed. Ive seen you all already have received your NOA texts. what could be wrong with ours?

Wow...that IS slow!  Jeeezus...  probably about right to call (I don’t know who to call, but there must be a number?!). Many of us in here have been waiting since mid-late January wondering where our Receipt #’s are/texts/emails...but you’ve been waiting even longer.  Hmmm....dang it...

🤞🏽 for you and all of us!

Just got 3 sms notifications!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The package was delivered on February 2nd so it took them 4 days starting from Monday

My receipts start with MSC, what does it mean?

One more question. I have receipt numbers from SMS, can I check the status online?

Congrats!

Wow...this is just downright unpredictable.  So...some have been waiting weeks, others get them in days.  ?!?!

Maybe the next question is, where are we sending our packages to, and are any of you inserting Valentine’s Day goodies to get your stuff in sooner?!

So unpredictable this stuff is......  🙄🙄

Seeing February mailers already getting texts/emails of Receipts from February filers.  This is really frustrating.  WTH is going on?  Only thing I can imagine, is that we're getting rejected for some reason...but the Lawyer says, "stay away from blogs and don't read anything in to them".  So, who's telling the truth?!  Still nothing?!  Lawyer tells me they sent payment by check, and that she can't confirm whether it's been paid yet.  Not impressed, and not feeling good about this.

Anyone else in January still waiting for even a Receipt number??!??!?!?!!?!??

December filer here. For some people it just takes more time. USCIS is working in mysterious ways. Their official policy is that it can take up to 30 days to get a receipt number. For example, I filed mine on December 17, it was delivered via Fedex on December 18. I got my receipt numbers on January 9. You can always try calling USCIS if it's been more than 2-3 weeks and ask them for advice. Their customer service phone number is on their website.

It's a very stressful process and I was losing my mind waiting for the receipt number.. So I know how you're feeling. Hang in there and I hope you will get it ASAP!

We received an RFIE last week, claiming that we filled i-485 on the old edition of the form and to resubmit with the most recent edition. We pulled out our copy of the package, and lo and behold, it said 12/13/17 on the bottom.

That was a dumb mistake, we think to ourselves. I go online, download the latest form, and send it in for printing.

Just picked it up. It says 12/13/17. Checked the USCIS website. It says the most recent edition is 12/13/17. Are we doing something wrong?

Huh? Strange people get RFE cause of the edition? I did sent mine 12/13/17 at the buttom as well but in the top pages it’s not expired yet.. that should be fine.. so far Mine wasn’t rejected. Make sure you download the form in USCIS website..

Hey...

So, no...I haven’t called them yet.  I figure...I’d give it a full two weeks (which would technically be this coming Monday night).

I also have forms G-28 on each application (permitting my Attorneys to have access control to the process), and I don’t want to appear to be overstepping my Attorneys.  Sorta.  I mean, after all, this is MY (and my wife’s futures we’re talking about here).  Lol....

I’m going to follow your advice come Tuesday if I don’t hear anything by then.

Thanks!  :)

More February filers getting their texts from Uscis already...and within days.

Very very frustrating, and all my Attorney wants to tell me is to ignore the Blogs and Forums.....   grrrrr!

It’s time these Attorneys worked for their pay...that they’ve already received!

Any other January filers getting any texts and/or Receipts?!

Your lawyer is probably worried that on the blogs and forums you'll see all the stories of people who regret using a lawyer...That aside, there are plenty of people  on here whose texts and receipts take a while to come through. I'm sure you'll get yours soon.

Haha!  So true!  It’s just my...uhmmmm...general “luck” with just about anything, that I just figured I’d go in to this thing under the oversight of an attorney.  Ugh!

I’m trying to get My US-born daughter in to a specialized high school by the summer for her Senior year.  Time is of the essence here.  Need that EAD to be able to relocated to Florida from Texas.

I sent my package at January 19

recieved January 23

after 2 weeks I didn’t get anything so I called uscis and they give me my MSC number for the 3 submissions

after that at the same day they texted me with the number and I also got an email.

Date February 7th at 12:20 am (actually already feb 8th)

I didn’t receive anything from the mail yet.

do we receive biometric appointment txt as well? I am worried to get lost on the mail... or can we Check online if it’s scheduled?

Thanks all
