Yeah I don't know :( It's really frustrating... This entire process is very flawed. I also feel the same way haha. It's been tough!

There is no fairness in the whole process.

Hello! For those of you who are waiting for EAD/AP as well, I just got off the phone with USCIS and they said the NBC is currently working on October 2018 applications and the current processing time is 6-8 months. Not sure if this is new news for people, but it was for me! Thought I'd share ~

I think the October date you got from the representative was from the website providing processing times.  October 11, 2018 is what is showing on the USCIS website but got to believe they are past October as January fliers are getting their EAD/AP cards.  However, there is a good possibility that there are still some November and December fliers still waiting for theirs.

Hopefully you and Bluewaters get your cards soon.

Keep the Faith:D

I think someone on another topic had a similar call and got told the same dates, but I got my combo card last week and I filed at the end of January, and there are a lot of others on VJ that have gotten theres that filed after October - I'm sure that the USCIS phone line has out of date info.

I called last week and was given the same info..

If I may ask...... How many supervisors review the application before it is approved?

Okay.. Let me be a voice of reason here.

First person that you talk to literally has no other information that what you get from USCIS.gov so they just tell you whats there.

Tier 2 has ALL the info about your case and overall view, so they can comment more on that matter but choose to be on a conservative side to be safe and say whats officially released, unless you get a cool officer and he'll tell you honestly. Like mine did with K-1. Called them on August, one dude said no earlier than november/december and that my case is just in line. A week later i called again, got a different officer he proceeded to explain that my case was handled 3 weeks ago from the "back" to the main offices and from then it depends on officer and many different things, where exactly in the line my case is, who's handling, his speed, vacations, sick days, etc etc etc. He said from his current experience it might take 2-4 weeks to get an answer, aaaaand i got an answer 4 weeks later. ALSO, some officers are even working from home. Meaning they come to office to pick up boxes with cases and review/approve/deny them from home, as at least that particular office hadnt had enough work space to get all cases done, so we can see HOW MUCH WORK they have.

Supervisors don't handle cases unless there is a:

1. Mistake on USCIS side.

2. Expedite request.

3. Extraordinary case.

4. Case outside processing time and they were nudged by state or other higher representative.

i believe that when he said "final supervisor" he meant that case was assigned to an officer, he had a long load of expedites and to move things faster, supervisor took some of his load, or there were additional questions to be cleared.

At this point i'm relaxed and try not to think about it. I understand that requesting an EMERGENCY expedite is time sensitive, but i believe that USCIS is doing all they can with the resources they have to get it done ASAP. I believe they don't want themselves to look bad, and they don't do it on purpose and leave some people out just for the heck of it, there's many variables involved.

Good morning my wonderful January filers. I thought to share with you....

As you all may know, I have RFIE on January 28,2019 and send my response to the RFIE to the USCIS, which they received and updated my case status on February 12,2019. Since then I did not get any update in reference to the outcome of my RFIE.

But I know USCIS were supposed to make a decision on RFIE within a period of 60 days. But I did not recieved anything within the 60 days.

So I called USCIS on May 7,2019 to put in a service inquiry about my RFIE and I was told to wait to get a response within 30 days. The 30 days was due and no response from USCIS. I called back again and requested to speak with a T2. This T2 person was a guy who did not even give me a chance to ask him the question I needed to asked and he told me my case is still in line so I should wait.

This morning I received a message from USCIS and per the message it says that....... "We are still reviewing you case and there are no updates at this moment.    We will notify you when your case status changes. We last took action on your case on May 23,209."

So far, this is the outcome of the service inquiry I did put in. So I hope soon I get an update.

And I wish us all good news.

There is no updates for RFIE's.. After they got initial missing document, it went back in line. i said that before already.

there is no decision to make on RFIE's. They were missing a document, they asked for it, they got it, package is completed and put back in folder, and back in the line where it was suppose to be, only time it'll be picked up is when the adjudicating officer is gonna take it and start reviewing whether to approve APPLICATION (NOT RFIE) or deny or ask for additional evidence.

Sorry if it comes out rude, but i'm trying to convey the information as boldly as possible at this point.

I do understand what you said. I know that that after receiving my response, my application  goes back in line for it to be adjudicated.

Sorry..... What I am saying is that I am at least waiting to get some ready to be scheduled for interview after they received my RFIE response.

I only want all of us to get some good news.

Filed EAD and GC for wife sometime in January; did the biometrics for EAD on 14 Feb and GC case scheduled for interview as of 13 March. VJ says our EAD estimate is August 30 - was supposed to be end of May but every week VJ estimates getting pushed back. EAD at the NBC and we’re in Washington DC.

Getting really frustrated here! C’mon USCIS. Anyone have a best guess about either form? My wife would like to work !

Another D.C. filer here! My EAD is arriving in the mail today, 3 weeks after I requested an expedite due to severe financial loss. My tip for not losing your mind is to ignore the VJ estimate. Mine said end of April/early May, and I spent the whole of May feeling depressed every day it didn't arrive. If you have a valid reason to expedite and a job offer, check out the many threads about expediting, otherwise try to enjoy the summer together and stay cool! I hope some D.C. filers start getting interviews soon...
