Hi,

I'm not sure to be completely honest. Maybe someone else could chime in. Regardless your AoS has been expedited and being assigned soo.. i mean i'd try to compile as much data as i can to prove your point, it's even better if you get green card. Make sure you're convincing, polite, straight-forward, and phrase the letter right, add appropriate documentation to support your expedite request. If it's denied, you can always call again and ask for EAD expedite..

Create a thread on that in AoS forum, i'm sure more experienced member will respond.

What @The_Empyrean said.  :)  There is an existing, active Expedite thread already created: EAD Expedite Timeline After Fax Request.  I'm a part of that one, as well.

TBH, with how extended the timelines are for every process, I would (naturally) let the I485 Expedite continue on, with the consideration of filing an I765/I131 Expedite, as well.  The reason for the expedite remains the same whether it's for the I485, or the latter, soooo....

While the length of the submission for Expedite isn't important, the quantity of my substance to justify wound-up making my fax submission some 24 pages!  I am extremely appreciative of the approval, but was more than justified in requesting it, with the catastrophic financial and familial damage that would've occurred, if my current authorization were to have expired while waiting for the cases to progress.  So long as you are providing critical, precise, accurate and appropriate materials to support your reason for the Expedite, you should be able to achieve a positive result.  Only you can know that.

that. Also, if you get Green card, you won't need AP/EAD at all.

Actually the site is https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov/ where you make an account and input your case numbers.  That is where we found out our AP was approved

Thanks, I just checked and I can see that my AP got approved too......

No updates on the card being dispatched... but I guess it was approved on Friday and it's only Tuesday.  I've waited this long I can wait a few more days!

Hope everyone else gets their's soon!

Hi everyone. We applied for EAD and AP on January 24, 2019. I was expecting to get approval by the end of this month. However, someone told me that it would take until September to get the combo card. I’m very confused and upset now. Does anybody know if this is true? Does it really take that long to get AP approval?

EAD/AP are usually approved at the same time if filed together.

Unfortunately, hard to say how long it'll take. Some already had their approvals a month ago, but on the other hand there are people waiting from September-october-november.

It's possible, but very hard to predict. Average i'd say is 5-7months at the moment.

Thanks for your quick reply. I initially thought 3-5 months was the average processing time. I didn’t expect it to take so long. And I saw on the website that the current receipt date to submit a case enquiry is January 12th. So I was hopeful that I would get my approval soon. Each step of this journey seems so long and very frustrating.

I have been seeing/saying this all along.  There was just no way that so many people were claiming (and then proclaiming "go ahead, call me a liar, but I didn't this...that...and the other...") that they were getting their status updates and permits and approvals and all that, just like that.

Have you considered an Expedite?  Do you think you might qualify?

Yes you have said it over and over..  I dont think it will make a difference to expedite..

The gov website needs a make over as well..as it states work permits are 60-90 day waits and green cards are available for family based visas etc.. they dont mention the enormous wait time..so frustrating

Tier 1 has same access as we do. Whatever you see on new/old websites, thats the only info they have, including the

processing times.

Tier 2 on the other hand has more accurate and recent information with regards to your case.

Basically T1 is a “customer complaint and stupid questions” line where they funnel out non emergency, and not requiring immediate reply, and calming down people complaining about the processing times. It’s basic customer service, they just said what they see there, and they see nothing different from us. They wont ever tell you that they processed months ahead of you already, that’ll just create more rage lol.

Relax.
