My Liar...errrrr...Lawyer, is quite the card, as well.  But, he obviously knew how to swindle the money from me to "help" me file my case.  He responded to an email of mine back on May 8th just this past Friday - June 10th.  Really, Bro?  Like, how uncool is that?!  Doofus...  But, he managed to get me to cough-up the cash, so who is truly to blame, but myself?

My wife and I are betting on how long it takes for him to contact me about the latest status in my case.  Also, I just received a "Courtesy Notice" in the mail on Saturday, regarding the fact that I didn't include a signed Medical form in my I-485 application.  It's a Courtesy notice, because it just reiterates that I will "probably" need a Medical clearance and will "probably"  need to bring it to my AoS interview.  But, it is not affecting the current processing of the case.  Surely, my on-the-record representing Attorney has also received this notice, no?  Yeah...let's see how it takes him to "get with me" on that one, too!

I have no doubt, the Attorneys will say what you WANT TO HEAR; rather than what you NEED TO HEAR.  Story of our lives!

My AoS processing time is actually stated by USCIS as 17-24 months!!  That's insane!!  Good thing there is the option of the EAD/AP....

I am very angry and I don't want to do anything stupid. My office is 11 to 24 months. But some people are getting their gc fast.

With the option for ead/AP, I just hope we all get approved for it anytime soon than to wait over 200 days.

I am furious now. I have tried to call the USCIS number several times. I was keep pressing the 1 for English and the machine kept put me to spanish language then it hunged up the phone. It happened 3 times. Then finally I stayed on the English menu and the machine told me they are experiencing high volume of phone calls and are unable to transfer my call and please try to call later. It didn't even offer me that they'll call me back later.

Since this was my first time to call them please help me how the f@#&k I can reach a Tier2 person??

when you call, don't press anything at all. Wait. It'll get you thru to rep as a blind/deaf and then ask for T2.

Or this "Press 1 for English, then 1, then 2, then 2. After the final 2, press # each time it prompts you to enter a number. You will need to do this three time."

If you get a spanish speaking person, politely ask for english speaking one.

When I didn't press anything the whole system changed to Spanish and then it hunged up. I tried the other one that you say and the machine said they are experiencing very high volume phone calls and unable to transfer mine and please call in another time.

Keep trying. Best time is early morning. I did that twice with K-1, got connected both times to spanish speaking person, and asked to speak english. Got transferred both times to english.

I guess there are a lot of people inquiring about the cases, thats why its hard to get through. Keep trying.

Calling anyone who already received their EAD - did you get AP too? Whats the chances that you would receive EAD without AP? I haven't had an update to my AP application at all throughout the process, but my EAD application says it is being produced.

(on a side note: this will also settle a bet between me and my wife, as she thinks that AP is only for emergency travel and I won't get it even though I applied - and I am inclined to believe what I have read on VJ that K1 AOS applicants get AP along with their EAD approval if they applied at the same time)

The AP on the old site does not update. We found out through the new site that the AP was updated. You may want to check there but pretty sure it will be a combo card.

Congratulations :D

I think I only got an initial notification about the EAD. I filed for both on January 7, I got approved on May 6 and received the card with the AP shortly after. My case status for the AP still says "[we] sent you the receipt notice that describes how we will process your case." So I'm also pretty sure you will get both together!

Hello! Please Is there anything like expediting i485? I called USCIS last Friday about expediting my EAD under severe financial lost and the officer told me to explain what kind of financial loss I am experiencing, which I did and he took everything down. Today I got an email from my field office asking me to mail my explanation and documents to the field office. I noticed the expedite is being processed under my i485 ( I think I may have typed my i485 receipt notice when I called). My online status for my i485 changed to i485 expedite case assigned to an officer.

Do you think I should go ahead to mail documents to my field office or correct them and tell them it’s my EAD I want to expedite? please advise me!978BE90E-AAE8-4690-B52F-F8050F6A1B33.thumb.jpeg.084cdf0863d9599d6bb3a304df3ffecb.jpeg

Actually the site is https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov/ where you make an account and input your case numbers.  That is where we found out our AP was approved

Hi,

I'm not sure to be completely honest. Maybe someone else could chime in. Regardless your AoS has been expedited and being assigned soo.. i mean i'd try to compile as much data as i can to prove your point, it's even better if you get green card. Make sure you're convincing, polite, straight-forward, and phrase the letter right, add appropriate documentation to support your expedite request. If it's denied, you can always call again and ask for EAD expedite..

Create a thread on that in AoS forum, i'm sure more experienced member will respond.
